Car Seems To Be Cutting Out Of Fuel?

heya all I own a 32gtst, this all started very recently, whilst driving normal, not giving it a hard time at all, the engine cuts out, no lights come on though, the revs slowly start dropping but after a couple of seconds (varies from time to time) the engine will kick back in and it's fine. If you are sitting still on a red light and that happens the car automatically stalls and all the lights come on dashboard because the gearbox is not in motion. Every now and then whilst sitting still the revs rise slowly to about 1500rpm then drop to normal range. Any help deeply appreciated. Thanks all.

from what your saying... problems like these are common in old cars like yours...

alot of people experience this with a Dirty AAC valve (idle control valve)

check all vaccume hoses also
