the whiring isnt meant to be there at all. its overtensioned. mine did it the day i got it changed. took it back, got them to retension it (fkn monkeys) and the noise immediately stopped.

and as for the loose fan belt noise, i'm assuming you mean squealing. thats definately not the timing belt, as it has teeth on it, and wont slip in a way that it can squeal.

well mine makes the whirring noise (timing belt)

and make a squeal noise on every first start of the day (i thought it was the fan belt)

but after i came back to have it re-tensioned, she works fine since then no whirring no squealing...

so have it re tensioned...
