The 2 year saga is now over with the court case having been settled out of court. Unfortunately we have had to sign a document that prevents us from openly disclosing the results. All I can say is that it has been a very very very expensive exercise in futility.

Happy to discuss in private for any who may be interested.

Two things;

1. Did you see the goings on about the PM35 Stagea?

2. I hope this has not put a stopper "project GT40"

Hi,

if you're doing pm's I'd be happy for a copy and paste. Also didn't I read somewhere the importer was going out of business anyway? Seems stupid to make people sign non disclosures if it has no impact becuase the dodgy B&$*dards are moving on.

Don't think they are going anywhere.

In fact, I believe they recently stated (again, incorrectly) that the PM35 Stagea was able to be complied.

*I know Nick, pushing it. But haven't named names!*

I would just like to thank most of the SAU community who have been very supportive over the last two years whilst this issue has been on the public stage. I am constantly amazed at what a great bunch of people there are within this community. The Australian ethos of "helping a mate out" can be well applied to all on here. I have never personally met any of you guys but if you're ever in my neck of the woods, I would be only too happy to shake your hand. I still have my 34 to play with so will still wander in from time to time.

In fairness to the import broker, it was the workshop concerned that did a backflip over the PM35 compliance issue.

Glad to hear you can finally move on, Muz - irrespective of whether you've won or lost, I'm sure you're just happy to move on from it.

A discussion was had about 3 weeks ago regarding a couple of PM35 350RX Fours that popped up for import - they were contained in a e-mail from the relevant importer. It was a very informative thread, with several importers providing useful input on the situation. But it seems that someone, somewhere upset someone else, and the thread was deleted (I didn't even see where it went wrong - it was gone that quick). It was a shame, because it provided useful insight regarding the future of PM35's in Aus. I think the crux of the matter was it was likely that the 2004+ 350RX Four would be compliable, but hadn't yet been done.

Anyone care to comment on this? I think it's correct.

Want to hear something really shady....there is an importer(not being specific) currently advertising a 2003 6 speed manual and a 2004 6 speed manual Axis......would be awesome to have though. :D

Just goes to show guy's...alway's know all you shit before trying to import and comply.

I think it was more a case of one naive person at a workshop claiming they could do something that they couldn't (I got the same advice from them initially as the other import broker), only to have their phone run hot with inquiries and his boss go postal on him because they couldn't actually comply non-turbos.

It was me who requested the removal of the thread, following a request from the workshop owner.

Anyway, sorry for the OT discussion, Muz.

And to Muz - Sorry to hear that it turned out this way, and that you had to be the one who went through it. I hope that it doesn't sour your taste of the flavour of Japan too much :down:

      I believe Unimog is the only vehicle that has it (from the manufacturer). I haven't seen aftermarket permanently connected kits, but I haven't looked either.

I can be absolutely dead set shot, and my brain will still go "we need a good 3 or 4 hours to just think about everything and anything before you may sleep... My biggest thing is making sure I give myself enough sleep. I don't operate on even 7 hours of sleep! I attempt to give my body 9.5hours sleep a night to be able to function. I don't sleep the whole 9.5, but I need to make sure I offer a big window. I also take a single supplement, which is to help with long term health, and fighting inflammation, and I notice it helps massively. Especially me sleeping, and just less "achey" in the body. Have also kicked sugar, and gluten. A majority of people with ADHD don't go well with gluten. It causes a really interesting natural opioid overdose in the brain, which causes bodily issues and sensory issues.

      Yep. But typically that's just run a hose down to the tyre while stationary.   Oh and the Unimog will automatically air up and air down tyres from the onboard computer for you too.

      There was a good video somewhere, maybe Kurzgesagt that linked physical activity to ADHD/Anxiety/Insomnia etc. Basically the body WILL spend energy doing something if you don't spend it doing anything physical. It isn't fun, but I personally have noticed I've never been overthinky, or unable to sleep if I'm physically exhausted from doing a lot. The musings around it seem to indicate that this is one of the reasons/mechanism that physical activity improves mental health/wellbeing etc, by more or less not using that 'extra' energy to overthink, be anxious, inflammation, etc. There's also the fact that every obnoxious exerciser ever says it's great and helps which is extremely annoying. Like people who say the same thing about travel being the best thing ever. I mean, they clearly are, but blah. I started doing a LITTLE myself (think 3x15min per week) and honestly did notice the benefits, aiming at life quality when older. Which is sooner than you think. Getting something into your routine that you can actually make a routine has helped me at least. This post brought to you by procrastination between sets.
