Drivers Side Rear Vision Mirror....gone!

G'day Guys,

Heres the deal...

Driving along Citylink (Vic), go to scan my drivers side rear vision mirror and BAMMMMM, it's sliding off... within seconds, it was a goner!

So, how does one go about replacing the mirrior/glass for the drivers side rear vision mirrior?

I have the option of buying a second hand entire pod [mirror + the mechanics], but would just like to get a new bit of glass stuck on.

Any ideas?

cut out a carboard template and take it to a glass place. glue it right back on there

I thought it may have been that easy... but is there different spec glass/mirror etc etc? I best call someone! haha.
