I ran out of resins on last week so everything is on hold, I placed an order for more resin today along with more fabrics as well as waiting on some samples of coloured carbon in red and blue.

Once the materials arrives, I will start producing some single, double and triple DIN panels.

PLEASE NOTE: 'TRIPLE-DIN' refers to ONE SINGLE PANEL that covers 3x DIN slots and NOT three individual DIN sized panels.

One of my mates, when he saw the 6-gauge and ashtray panels that I made, he likes them so much he wouldnt leave me alone until I agreed to let him have them, now he's going to buy 6x 52mm gauges just to fill up the panel ! I told him that if he waited, I'd make him up a set of panels to suit the number of gauges he needed but he insisted, so I had to remove all my gauges, switches and LEDs..... What a nut-case ! Oh well, whatever gets him thru the night I guess......

Anyways, for the guys that are wondering, prices will range between $50 - $100 (includes shipping to anywhere in Australia) depending on size that you want.

Hang tight people, they're coming......

hay buddy how r ya?

if i sent u parts would u be able to carbon cover them.

i was thinking just a couple interior parts and my rear wing also. (obviously i would pay for the service)

cheers

Okay fellow Skyliners,

There is obviously a HUGE interest in the idea of refinishing various components in carbon fibre, I am personally pretty good at moulding small simple parts, but when it comes to bigger and more difficult bits, I'll be honest with you guys, rather than stuffing up your nice wings and panels etc, I'll go have a chat with my work mate Matty that specialises in fibreglassing and deals with that area all day. He has many years of experience in moulding and re-coating in various materials including carbon and kelvar.

I'll see if he's keen at doing these jobs - at least you can rest assured that it will be a good job. But let me warn you, it might be a little expensive on some of the more difficult parts as he'll probably charge by the hour OR he might charge by the part....I dont know. I cant speak for him so I'll see what he says and I'll get back to you guys.

Will let you know.

Simon.

Hi guys.

I spoke to my work mate today and he IS interested in doing these jobs as well as making up moulds for various carbon bits such as exhaust tip surrounds for the rear bumper and air diversion plate for the top of the radiator support panel. Feel free with any suggestions....

First things first,

For all the people that are interested in getting their own components refinished in carbon fibre, I'll have to ask you to send me photos of the particular part preferably a few shots from various angles so we can see the in's and out's of the shape we'll be dealing with, we'll then contact you and give you a quote. If you decide to go ahead with the job, then we'll go from there.

As each will be custom one-off's, it will be a first-in-first-served basis. But dont worry, nobody will miss out, it just mean you'll have to wait your turn.....like the tucker shop at lunch time back in primary school LOL

Please send detailed and close-up photos of the component/s you wish to have customised in carbon fibre to [email protected] and we will get back to you.

Cheers

SIMON.

Could you make an entire carbon deflector for a R33 Series II front like this:

All the ones that are available are for R33 GTR's. Pretty sure if you made these for Series I's and II's they would be very popular...

Its called a Radiator support air diversion plate.

Errrr.... I have a GTR one already on my 1997 series II R33 GTS25T..... If it fits a GTR, it'll fit a GTST. The areas above the headlights are slightly different on a series 2 but once you bolt it on, you cant tell ! Honestly, if you really want one, I guess I can use my existing one as a mould and modify it slightly to fit a series 2, but like I said, the difference is so small it impossible to tell.

OKAY GUYS,

RESIN SUPPLY HAS ARRIVED !!!

Im busy-as this week doing 12 hour shifts but I'll start making those DIN-plates this weekend and will post photos up around Sunday/ Monday night....

Cheers guys

Are you serious?!?! Every place i asked about them said "No they wont fit a series II GTST". When asked if i could modify it to fit same thing "It won't fit buddy". Could you please post a pic up? What brand do you have?

I've got one that was made specifically for an S2 GTS-T...Trust me when I say you don't want one on an S2. The grill setup is different to the GTR/series 1 GTS-T and as such the diversion plate blocks the majority of flow to the radiator rather than guiding air through it..

Tested back to back on 2 series 2 GTS-T's, both with identical mods, driving on the same stretch of road together, the one with the diversion plate had a water temp almost 10 degrees higher than the 1 without...
