hey alll

i have a red top nics rb20 in my all original hr31 that was running perfect...

but now if i try to slowlly bring the revs up it farts and coughs around alot..

was thinking tps so i swapped it out and changed nothing..

when i first put the motor in the car it ran fine... now just recentlly its gone up shit creek..

any one have ideas??

is this a common thing?

was thinking maybe afm?

alright sweet

i have 3 spare sets of coil packs and a spare cas and spare tps..

already tried swapping over the tps but that did nothing...

il try cas next..

its a nics red top..

i wouldnt bother with a cas..

if it was the cas it wouldnt run. its just an eletronic pick up.. either it picks it up or it doesnt.. simple as it. its not like a coil where it can sorta pick it up enough to run.. doesnt work like that. either it has a signal or not

coil packs i look at.. with a weak spark, its easy to blow it out if u induce enough air

might be afms also.. does it happen under load or just rpm??? example.. foot down to the redline it farts n coughs.. or ur at the redline without having ur foot flat.. just enough throttle to keep it there and still does it..?

what sensor would cause this.???

afm maybe??

iv tryed swapping over a set of coilpacks but that didnt do nothing...

i cant justify going out and finding a red top rb20 afm if it isnt needed...

as anyone would know parts for these donks are hard to come bye
