I trying to save up money to buy Greddy T88 single turbo kit , but im wondering what all would i need to convert to D-jetro.. or is it worth just keeping the AFM's? what ECU would you recommend? and fuel injetors? i plan on doing the install myslef and haveing a local shop tune it.

i plan on spending no more then $10,000... it has stock internals adjustable hks cam gears, stock cams but plan on installing HKS cams IN & EX 256 Degree, LIFT 8.7, STEP 1

Just a FYI, the guy that is selling the kit in the link above (the one that Cjmartz2k posted) has been pushing over 700 HP to the wheels with stock internals for quite some time. MANY many pulls on the dyno and street runs. He has does have cams, but I believe he is still on a stock headgasket...which is almost unbelieveable. It's all in the tune...

Stock internals + T88 ???? Sorry mate but I really see this poor RB dying a rapid death

real quick. i'd say from oil problems, number one big end.

my question is why do you want the t88. what power are you aiming for? it's probably going to end up a shit car on the street with that.

also why such small cams?

i have seen crazy things with higher lift .. i was kinda leaning towards hks stage 2 and upgrading the valve springs.. and the oil pump is definitely going to get upgraded. i want power. i want all four wheels breaking lose. i want to drift and grip drive ( time attack ) my GTR i want 500 - 600+ HP. i finally got my dream car and im goin all out on the motor.

i dont know much about the RB's still learning. can any one point me in the right direction on how i can achive my goal?

ever driven or been in a gtr with with that much power. work your way up or it will bite you.

mines running 470hp at the wheels, will spin all 4 in first and second with clutching it. and still starts, and drives almost like a standard car. i spend a whole day driving below 3000rpm easily. hell i've got positive boost by 2000rpm at full load.

you'll be around 300kw at the wheels before major problems. perhaps try that for a while. what cars have you driven previous etc?

i have seen high 600 hp 700hp gtrs with stock internals ( with little upgrades to the head)

i'll believe when i see it. rods maybe. not pistons, and not standard oiling systems. (at least on an early model r32

i use to drift a 93 fd3s , 89 fc , still have a SR20 powered 240sx in the states, touge'd my buddy's evo 9, 200sx, and now i own this sexy beast of a car .. i guess i could settle for 470hp. i want to run a top mount turbo set up without the AFM's they cost to f***in much i bought a used low millage set for $600 , so i want to get ride of them soon.

what set-up do you run?

Wow, their is so much bad info in this thread it's ridiculous. Why would oiling be any more of a problem drag racing with more hp? Please O please tell me about oil drain back in the head. Make my argument easy for me. The stock internals will handle that fine. Many people here on Oki running T88's on stock internals. That's the small T88 BTW.

As was stated above, the link I posted is from a guy who's been running it for several years, and he is on stock internals right down to the headgasket. If you don't have first or even hand knowledge, don't just repeat what you have read over and over again on the internet.

Which T88 model do you want....the largest I would go if you still want any hope of having enough response on a track would be the 33d, and even still you not gonna see much below 5000rpm,

I agree with cjmark - the oiling problems arnt going to be any worse no matter what turbo you have off the side, the problems will come from having to rev the ringer out of the thing to get anywhere.

Least you have the right idea about building a stroker motor, 2.8 + t88-33d would be nice, given the right head work and cam choice.

depends for sure, a d-jetro and LINK will cost you the same ($1650 or $2k tuned) and there is no differrence between the two power making wise. Power wise your bottom end is gonna give out before the turbo.... 1000cc sards are good for about 795hp 1600's are good for over 1000hp... it really depends on the T88 trim (34 or 38 and 18 or 22cm rears). I always thought T88 were too big until i went for a spin in the Signal r34..... it proved setup and experience is mare more important than anything else.

not sure nengun has a nice trust t88 single turbo kits that i was looking at..

D- jetro seems like it would be bad ass.. no more AFM's and i can see my turbo inlet sitting in the car taunting everyone looking at my (future) engine.. plus i think it just looks clean.
