in VIC you can either have a pod or cooler, but there are some TMU officers who dont even like you just for having a pod... my friend had a defect for having a pod and it was mounted properly with a metal bracket...

It would be handy to know what state you're in.

I live in NSW, I've been done for pod with bracket, got told to shield it. So i did, and also made a CAI. I suggest everyone to do the same as a pod unshielded just sucks in engine temp air! mAybe not shield it if you don't have to, but atleast get some cold air to it. I certainly felt a diference!

I was EPA +D efected in Melbourne for having a Pod and Cooler at the same time. and I had to pay $567 fin to EPA and attend a EPA test. The EPA test was alright, But I think this fin shouldn't be that heavy. For any one to pay $567 worth of fin based on this sort of matter I think it's a f*ken joke.

Generally speaking in SA, if your pod is securely mounted (mine is screwed in with a piece of metal affixed to one of the original pod filter box screws below the pod) then you will be fine.

+1

I had 2 brackets made up to make it secured down as a mofo.....regency had a look, tried to shake it but couldnt and they let it through.....I think that they wont allow it to pass if the pod moves around hence not being secured....any exhaust place can make up those brackets for you mate......i had mine made up at D&T exhaust and its not that expensive

hope it helps
