Does anyone have any info on the total number of road registered R35 GT-R's kicking around Oz so far - JDM and the Nissan Aust delivered ones.

Nissan Aust website says they pre-sold 150 for delivery in 2009 - just wondering if this sounds about right.

I was told that Australia will be allocated 600 GTR's for the first 5 years, and of that 500, 200 allocated for 2009..

600 is a lot. Not quite sure we will have 600 buyers - but hopefully they all sell ASAP.

That's what i was told too, before the "production cut" ie. GFC effects.

I think the numbers might be lower than that

.........and the way DOTARS is setup we can forget about topping those numbers with grey imports - since Nissan Aust already imported the car...............damn.

I don't see the numbers exceeding 300-odd for the life of the model.

Is it 600 or 500? or was it going to be:

"600 GTR's for the first 5 years, and of that 500, 200 allocated for 2009.

Of the remaining 200, 50 will be delivered a year to bring the 300GTR's to Australia.

Nissan expects that the happy 200 GTR owners will all be not voiding their warranties, and as such have made provisions for enough mechanics to work on 150GTR's.

The extra jobs from servicing the 100 gtr's will bring much wealth to the economy"?

(yes, i just made that up)

Lets not jump to conclusions just yet, what if that VN had stockie's on the rear and VS HSV front/rear bumpers?

at the end of the day the numbers will be strictly limited - to the number they can sell!

as someone already hinted, i think they've already sold 80% of the R35's they will ever sell here

Kind of relevant:Europe is currently in the process of delivering the first GT-Rs to more than 2,200 pre-order customers. The model R35 GT-R was first launched in Japan in December 2007, selling 5,900 units until March 2009. It went on sale in the US in July 2008, where 2,100 have been sold so far.

It definately would've also had a shift kit and 3000rpm schtally bro. GTR never had a chance.

and a MASSIVE Holden sticker on the rear windscreen to let everyone know its a Holden because no one knows the manufacturer of that particular vehicle because it is like so rare...

HAHA i saw a new gtr (number plate HOTGTR) on the M4 (sydney) and it was racing an evo 10 and it HAMMERED it.

the VN wouldn't have stood a chance even if he stayed in first gear lol.
