HEY GUYS

MARK FROM HPI MAG HERE.

I AM CURRENTLY TALKING TO THE OWNERS OF KINETIX RACING AND I AM ABOUT MAKE AN ORDER FOR THEIR LATEST PLENUM FOR THE V35.

I HAVE ASKED HIM FOR A SPECIAL PRICE AND HE HAS ASKED ME TO SEE IF MORE AUSSIES WOULD BE INTERESTED.... THERE WILL BE ONLY 5 AVAILABLE IF ANYONE IS HALF INTERESTED PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

I AM EXPECTING THE PRICE TO BE ABOUT $800

** Newly released Velocity Intake Manifold replaces our older SSV version with many improvements:

* Velocity plenum chamber design - Equal air flow between cylinders

* 12% more plenum chamber volume

* 10% short intake runners for more flow and higher HP potential

* Smoother A/F curve - less tuning required - more consistent power

* High RPM power !! 30.5hp gains at 6800 rpm

* Thicker gauge construction for higher boost - warranty up to 30psi **CLICK ON THE PICTURE FOR DYNO PROVEN RESULTS**

For 2003-2007 350z and 2003-2007 G35 (single throttle body engine models)

We took the very popular SSV manifold and went over every aspect of its design to make the most impactful improvements. As our customers and the 350z/g35 marketplace continue to improve the power potential of their engines, the SSV needed a redesign to accomodate the the higher power output of these vehicles.

The new Velocity Manifold is geared for higher flow and higher RPM power gains. This allows for even larger power gains in the many F/I vehicles out there.

The new Velocity Plenum design maximizes flow to the furthest cylinders by creating a "venturi" effect. By gradually narrowing the plenum chamber , the air speed must increase to satisfy the equation of continuity. Improved flow to all cylinders also means an improved smoother A/F curve that requires less tuning in F/I applications, and ZERO tuning in N/A vehicles.

This manifold is constructed entirely of Stainless Steel, then polished out for an absolute beautiful finished product that looks as great as it performs. We chose stainless because of its great thermal properties, conducting 10X!! less heat than aluminum and eliminating much of the manifold's mass, which greatly helps with heat soak. Stainless is considerably more expensive than aluminum, but the finish shines brighter and longer. The overall manifold SAVES 10lbs of weight over stock! Precision TIG welding throughout, and a CNC cut 3/8" main flange. All mandrel bent runners and charge tube, this manifold rivals the quality of other intakes twice its price.

We improved greatly upon the factory plenum designs. The factory lower plenum creates MANY dips and turns which do not promote good airflow and create turbulence inside your factory intake. We developed a straight shot design, eliminating the twists, turns, and obstructions. We then took each runner and also added velocity stack inlets to each individual runner for even better performance.

This Manifold is a DIRECT replacement and will work with any aftermarket intake. It also allows you the ability to use the factory strut bar, or any aftermarket strut bar. We also have available an engine cover specifically designed for our manifold.

We recommend an A/F tuning on Forced Induction vehicles (turbo and supercharged) after installation of the SSV in order to maximize power and overall engine reliability. Tuning is generally not needed in Naturally Aspirated ( NA ) applications.

Each manifold is supplied with all necessary hardware and instructions. There is an additional port supplied which can be used for boost gauges, etc.

Awesome!

Very keen.

Will there be a deal on the cover that goes with the plenum as well?

i am not sure mate, the guy will be emailing me everything tommorrow morning. the $800 is Aussie dollars and includes shipping charges.... will update for you guys tommorrow.

its listed for $749 on their site which is us dollars, plus you would have to include shipping charges plus GST....so all up this should save each guy who gets one a few hundred bucks.

Hey Guys,

Cut off date is most likely next Thursday. i am still waiting on the final price. i am pushing for $800 AUD

Omce all 6 are ordered they have told it will take about 2 weeks to come in.

Will keep all of you updated once i hear the final price.

Cheers Guys

unfortunately i'm going to have to back out of this one (i hope i dont regret it later).

I need to sit down and plan out the work and parts that i plan to do in future, and this might not be inline with it (i'm looking at the ssr twin entry).

feel free to list me as a maybe, and i'll be interested to see what price you get. But to make sure i dont completely screw your planning dont count me as a definate.

I always wonder when i see manufacturers claim of these plenums about the 20/30/50 hp gain.

This plenum looks good although i'm not sure about the 30.5hp gain ? Maybe on a car with forced induction installed. Be interesting if someone dynos it after install :)

Guys do a search on the Yank forums, these things are not as good as they make out especially for NA applications. I have the kinetix V+ plenum or whatever its called and even with that the car only made 1 or 2 hp more.

The ssv has been known to make less power then the standard one with NA applications, not trying to rain on anyone but rather save u guys $$'s and dissapointment.

    • Welcome back to the scene! Godzilla Motorsports were well regarded back in the day.  My GT-R had work done there prior to my ownership.   SRS (Street Race Solutions) in Toowoomba worth a look.  They've built some pretty wild Skylines. Their YouTube channel is comedic to watch!  I'm sure they're all on the glass BBQ but they get shit done! 🤣
    • Hard to say what the extra connector is, it looks a bit like a coax type connector, so possibly a separate radio/GPS antenna, or even another camera input?  The V37 series (including the Q50), did go through a model refresh in 2020, since Australia didn't get any Q50s newer than 2019, we didn't get any of the refreshed models, so there could also be other unexpected problems to overcome to swap an older Q50 head unit into a new model V37. There probably aren't too many people around that have made these sorts of changes to a Q50/V37, so you might end up being the first if you do decide to go ahead. ACP is Apple Car Play and AA is Android Auto, they are roughly the same thing for the 2 major phone operating systems (Apple's iOS and Android), it allows you to connect your phone and access a number of your phone applications on your car system.  With Nav apps included, so you could use google maps/Waze or whatever your favourite navigation app is, instead of using the built in navi system.  I think this would be a better solution if it is only Navigation that you are looking as swapping the head unit for. GPS signals are the same around the globe as the GPS satellites continuously circle the globe, but it is the head unit that doesn't allow you to load Australian maps, or at least no-one had made an Australian map that will load up on the JDM head unit. Regarding the TV standards, I assume you are referring to the AV inputs?  I haven't ever tried to use them, Japan used a slightly modified version of the US NTSC system, and Australia uses PAL for composite video, that said, I wouldn't be surprised if a video input could work with either system.  That is mostly irrelevant here though, unless you plan to use those inputs for something?
    • If you've got bucket loads of $. Go single. If not, just upgrade the twins, Garrett -9's or whatever the current equivalent is for a healthy 350awkw and leave it at that. Will probably still cost you 10k to do in this day and age.
