Well tonight has sure been fun... Was out for the night (Cold Auckland one at that), Came to start up my R34 GT, Heard a crack followed by the battery light flicking on...

Opened up the bonnet and sure enough the belt between alt and engine has gone (Main belt is still intact) ;)

Have parked it up and will need to take it in somewhere tomorrow.

Does anyone have an idea on the cost to replace both belts with the alt one being gone?

Any heads up will be great :P as I believe this is going to be a costly one.

its really not that expensive unless they charge he heaps for the alternator belt... u could do it urself if ur mechanically inclined not that hard... aslong as ur timing belt didnt snap if thats wat ur implying

Yeah main belt is still fine... So will replace that while I am at it... If that is the case hopefully it shouldn't be too much :P

Anyway thanks for the reply will wait and see tomorrow what the news is going to be like.
