Welll probably a fair wack out in most cases. Espeically if you have had a; gearbox, diff, engine, wheel change, or someone has taken the dash out, and maybe bumped it. 180 is fast remember :D so say aussie standards (yeah its a jap car but hey) being 10% + or - it could be 198kmh, or 162kmh...

While it will continue linearly over 180, as dangerous_daveo said, you're speedo will certainly be out in the first place - every speedo I've seen compared to a accurate speed is optimistic.

In my GTST both my speedo and tacho read approx 10% too high (as compared to a powerFC and GPS Speedo)

At the drags, my car was just under 170kmh when crossing the finish line but my best mph for the day was 101.53mph (~162kmh). I dont think the accuracy is too bad below 150, but as the speed increases it will surely become more inacurate.
