Just Installed 6.5 Kevlar Speakers In R33

Just installed a pair of Jaycar Kevlar 6.5 inch speakers inside my R33 front doors. It was pretty complicated. Some people said you can fit 6.5 speakers in stock spacers. But I found jaycar 6.5 Kevlar ones cant be fitted in. So have to make two spacers for them. I havent done the sound deadening yet.

whats the biggest you can put in the factory spacers in front and rear? want to change mine soon just cant be bothered messing around if it doesnt fit

got a 33gtr is that the same as 33 gtst?i would like to think so

how thick was mdf used for speakers?

I'am looking at using the same speakers front and rear.

Was the depth (70mm) the issue?

I fit 6.5" Focals in my doors without any issue, they have a mounting depth of 77mm

were they on an mdf base? if so how thick?

yeah they were on an mdf base, it was a while ago but I'm pretty sure it was about 22mm
