Garrett Gt3540 Vs Apexi Ax53b70 P25

I'm looking at conducting a Turbo upgrade for an R34 GT-T and I'm looking between getting either and GT3540 (.70 comp, 0.82 rear housing. ) or a AX53B70 P25 (RB25DET version).

Hoping to get some details about the experiances people have had with both (spool time, power, etc).

Thanks in advance. (if you need information regarding supporting mods).

the GT35R on the 25 will be lag lag lag, and then a wave of power, the Apexi turbo will feel much nicer on the street, they're similar to a HKS GTRS. I have one but am looking to sell it as its a bit too small for the 3L

I can confirm this, I've got the 0.82 rear housing and it takes quite a while to hit full boost but when it does hold on. Good for top end but not response.

Don't bother putting a GT35R on a RB25. On a 25, full boost will be somewhere around 4500 rpm, which is much too late imo.

I got a RB30 bottom end with a GT35R and still think it's some what laggy.

I have the Apexi on my neo rb25det Stagea

It made 250awd hp at 15psi with type B poncams on a very same tune.

It will be coming off in 8-10 weeks to make way for a Gt3076
