Looks like you enjoyed the last session better, whats with the engine cutout switch? And lol at the guard coming off :)

They called it the inertia switch. Essentially it was a little shock switch which meant if you hit a wall it kills the fuel pump so that you dont catch alight, it was pretty sensitive so also meant that if you used a bt too much kerb then it also stopped the fuel pump. They had fines for hitting the rev limiter, going into the sand traps etc etc. I suppose hitting kerbs isnt great for the cr, Snowie and guard case in point :ermm: So i think its there so help remind people to have fun and dont go pushing too hard.

Thanks Ash, mainly cosmetic damage mate.

A headlight, indicators, front bar, roughed up the 'cooler, needed full respray, some gaurd bendage, lucky we had a good strong bash plate I think, it took a hell of a hit, a and likely saved some major damage.

Here's the first corner agter we rejoined the road :D

Thanks for putting up the pic.

Like you say it could have been worse!

What about the farmers fence, who pays for that?

Ash

The competitor pays for the fence (Targa has contractors poised to react to avoid farmers getting too pissed), but this time I hear the farmer was watching us carve his fences and paddock with the other spectators, and was having a good laugh, and fixed it himself. So I hear.....

not that simple pete, and probably not the right thread. gtst and gtr are in different categories in aasa regs. gtst has more freedoms. as of about 2 weeks ago I could not find the current AASA tarmac rally regs anywhere on the web (i was checking for buller sprint).

for gtr it is basically ecu and suspension free. zorst 3". boost free. standard motor (no deep sump, no cams, std turbo but may be n1 spec).

Here is some great IPRAWA footage from multiple cars

2 big crashes in this one

ASH

great footage/production there, since so many cars have cameras these day I'm surprised more people haven't done this sort of video. good work

A couple from Lakeside using a fancy new camera; Captain Smooth here lolol

I notice the mighty rb20 doesn't make enough power to register lateral g under acceleration. I bet the camera is worth more than the car too.
