all im saying is, if you going to effort to build a turbo comparison chart - why include results that are either way out of scale, not the typical scenario or are mislead

it would be like me doing one

with T88 making 245kw cos the injectors max out

and a GT30R making 295kw cos the fuel system could keep up

is it a comparison? yes

is it useful? no cos everyone knows a T88 makes 500kw+

it is useful if you include typical real world results on an optimum setup, not botched installs / lack of supporting mods etc

imagine if Intel compared all their CPU speesd

but for the Xeons they didn't add fans to the CPU

so the clock rate was heaps lower on the graph

hardly useful?

Yep ok fair enough i see where you are coming from. Like i said, i made the graph for me and then thought "what the hell ill post it up". I thought by me quickly explaining why that run stopped at 190kw was enough for every one to get the picture as it started coughing and spluttering on the dyno so they backed off.

I think it was a good idea to post all the information up.

He clearly stated what was needed to see the difference in the lines. That is what his point was. Thanks for the post. Obviously 20psi is going to flow more than 17psi with or without headwork.

As for the intel CPU comparison - I think that more proves the point of what PM-R33 is saying. Some PC manufacturers DO get good CPU's and put them on crap chipsets with little ram and pathetic graphics card and they go slower than a cheaper CPU with good MB and RAM - in this case it would be interesting to see their performance compared as is.

Cheers man. Like i said, it was mainly for my personal interest to see how the car has differed over when it was stock and thought it was kind of interesting to post up. Didn't think it would cause a fuss lol.

I tried uploading the Excel spread-sheet file but SAU won't allow it to upload  If any one doesn't know how to make graphs and crap, just shoot me a PM and ill send it to ya so you can just add your values.

hmmm, looks like the turbo is running out of legs... time for a 3037 kit yet.

guys i must say i have been in this car numerous times and can still safely say it has the most seat of pants mid range of any car i have ever been in. now consitter i own a 360rwkw xr6t and previously owned a 280odd rwkw rb25 silvia (running a 3037 :( ) to jump in a car like phils with a little here and a little there in the right places mod wise and only makin 260 odd and be that gobsmacked by the torque is really something. having said that now it is really time to step up to a bigger turbo

Cheers man. Hahaha yeah the little turbo is definetely running out of puff. "I'm giving it all she's got captain!"

Seeing 270 would be nice though, might have to chuck it on Pauls or Verns dyno to see if they read a bit higher :(

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. I used to love doing this 20 years ago on SAU and got a bit nostalgic for a moment... 😅
    • Try fabricating something like this and install it under the pedals? Not sure if it's legal or not....
    • Even though I have some pretty good (brand) ratchet ringies, I avoid using them to break open tight bolts. A broken ratchet is very annoying.
