mate that's an awesome looking car, great to see another skyline owner as happy over their car as i am with mine. Just 2 things you must have before you buy anything else: full comp insurance and a good alarm system.

responsive enough, but could be better i think.

but im comparing it to a mate who has a modified evo9 and i think hes run 24psi lol

so when we swap cars....the evo is alot more responsive.

i know its ridiculous to compare the 2! but 24 psi feels good. lol

the current wheels are 235's i think, but i got a set of 18"x9.5 tc2's on order. and wrapping them in re01 i think there called?? some seriously good tyres ive heard??

and its pretty much already got all the standard upgrades.

its got a power fc but im too scared to play around with the controller lol and koni's all round plus i had to replace injectors cos the previous ones were shot. so we put in 660cc sards, so it would be ready for more power.

its ok power how is, but i know im a couple months i will need more! lol its always the way.

still makes me smile ever time i get in it :P .....sounds so gay, but so true

Friggin hell 24 psi! Thats like 2 Bar boost on a 2L inline4 Turbo, he's nuts! LOL!

Yeah you will have to up the boost.

Whats your turbo set up? Stock? Upgrade?

a pic of the rims on order. the more i look at them the more it grows on me. will they be hot or not on the white gtr????

Try R34N1 or GT-SS and you'll see.

Will it run 11 down the quater? You will with R34N1s at only 20psi or less :P

Nah, RE01-R is i believed.

Try to get the grid-dancer and have fun.

You cant compare your car to an EVO9 because its a MIVEC-Turbo.

Youll never have that response. EVOs are slow anyway  the top end isnt that great I dont think. Dont EVOs run like 20psi factory anyway?

With GT-SS or even 2860-5s (a tad larger), standard cams, and a PFC tune from Racepace, you will have insane power, response and fuel economy. You WILL be happy with that!

Give the EVOs a run for their money!

Yeah when it comes to GTR's - Racepace are the masters. Countless people on these forums have had their GTR's built there and now have serious weapons. If I had the cash lying around I would love to buy a second GTR and send it there for the works (I want to leave mine as is).

those wheels are nice - i remember seeing them on a 350z when the 350z first came out.

be careful though - I don't know if they've redesigned these a bit, but the 350z wheels went out of true quickly just from street driving, apparently they are quite soft because of the hollow spokes?!

Congrats on the car. Enjoy it, they're a nice car for what they are

EVO 9's are great cars. Super responsive and great top end with minimal mods.

Have driven my mates EVO 9 and was mighty impressed with it.

Of course throw enough money at your car and you too could have similar response :D

EVO9's - one of the fastest street cars for the price range and the moment.

Minor mods and a tune, 220-240awkw - great street package that no GTR is going to beat with minor mods.

You have very little chance of a R32 (or 33/34 for that matter) matching one in dollar for dollar bang for buck ~300kw @ the tyres

Also remember a EVO has a lot more development in it - thats a key factor so you can never expect it to be what a EVO is.

Nothing wrong with a 32 GTR though - great car, always will be.

Nice car man, another fine example of what a clean R32gtr should look like. My one looks extacly like your one (same colour as well) minus the R33gtr rims. What year is your r32gtr btw? i got the 1994 model :(

Funnily enough, i also used to drive a Honda (a civic) and the GTR is my first true performance car.

thanx for all the great positive comments! cheers everyone.

its a 92 model

the work im getting done is from potek, they seem pretty good.

1 little problem im noticeing atm is according the the power fc controller the air temp readin gets up to 40 - 50 degress and the water temp gets up to 70.

is this too high????

should i get the pods boxed up to keep them cooler cos after driving it i touch feel them and there warm!

my mate just sold his evo 9 for a black fd rx7...looks mean, but the evo was a much better car. the rx7 is stupidly tiny inside!!!

not too sure abt the water temp.. but my power fc water reading is arnd the 80-83 degree mark. defi's show about the same (84-85). everything seems to be running fine.. not too sure about my air temp though.. i m using the ARC airbox so it might differ.. but i will keep track of it and let you know :)

    • I am currently going this route. I am curious how much horse power you put behind the cut bell housing? Collins was telling me I am going to crack it and bluh bluh bluh. Because I didn’t buy the custom fly wheel from him. I am looking for somewhere around like 500 hp
    • Forgot to mention that these are the before pics when I first got it!
    • Thanks @PranK for the updated member status, much appreciated! 👍🏼 Now, about those pics… Unfortunately I could only find ones that I took in the dark. I was soon to discover that underneath it wasn’t in the best shape, but it was mine and that’s all I cared about at the time 😆
    • Oh, and only having done this task yesterday, I've now driven the car ~60km since, and while it is hard to avoid placebo effect and confirmation bias, I reckon that some annoyances I had with the way the car has been behaving have improved. Which....kinda makes sense, I guess. If the bushes were really stiff and resisting rotation, they would have been contributing to the effective wheel rate. And if it was more so on one side (which it was, because one side was worse than the other) then.... you might imagine that the additional rate would be asymmetric, and potentially even different between compression and rebound. And so... the car has been twitchy at higher speeds - like freeway on ramps. It really shouldn't be. The wheel alignment is good and there are no (other) known problems elsewhere in the suspension. But at 90-100 on a long sweeping ramp, tiny steering wheel motions would make it feel like it wanted to rear steer. Quite nervous. At lower speeds it would heave about in a manner that it didn't use to. Didn't want to put power down, etc etc. Now...seems to behave better. Am going to have to concentrate on the various corners where it has exhibited weirdness, on the rare occasions when I can get a decent run at them without Methanial getting in the way in his D-Max/Ranger/LDV Van/etc.
