HKS will win hands down on response and outright power dont mess about with a hi flowed turbo as the results are usually average at best.

You might be right about HKS being better but I managed 284rwkw with a high flow on an RB25/30.

Check out the manifold pressure graph on my dyno result.(RB30 Hybrid upgrade results) post #70

Spooled up too quick, had to turn it way down in 1st and 2nd gear because of wheel spin.

I reckon the high flow T28 is comparible to a GT3071/0.63 AR, both rated at 450hp.

Also got 60,000 plus kms out of it, blew last week...

Hi all

just wondering what turbo would be better for response . A HKS gt2530 or hi-flow S2 r33 turbo .

I am not sure what you are trying to achieve here.

Firstly...do not mess around with a high flow.

This normally costs the same as a replacement turbo.

Secondly why would you pick a 2530...don't you mean a 3540.

After all, a gtr runs on two of these.I am assuming you just want one turbo.

Thirdly , it all depends on the intake and exhaust turbine sizes.

All or most turbines these days can be altered to fit the performance needs of the user.

So please ask your question again.

I have included a few files for you to look at.

Oh...the answer to your question is a GT2530 on a gtst will have the best response down low to mid range.

You will though run out of puff at higher revs.
