Guilt Toy is my tuner, among other things. He's entered a flurry of events off the street and that burnout could have been at any one of them... Hill climbs, track days, drags, powercruise etc...

I don't really agree with what he is saying towards MissR34 but he's probably right. I live with a mate of mine who is talking about putting a T04Z in his TT supra (that isn't even driveable yet) and all he's driven is his NA supra. Another mate actually went ahead with a massive GT47R turbo on his supra, and it's been in the shop for over 2 years now...

Sometimes peoples heads need to be pulled in.

Good luck to the girl and all her challenges ahead, but a lot of people have voiced their opinions on this, and a lot of them talk from experience.

I think that this thread has delivered some amusement for all minus the sexist comments. Seriously guys not neccessary.

I will say it: I TOLD YOU SO about the supercharger. That was never going to happen. I did all the maths for it and talked to a couple of engineer friends in the meantime. That sh*t was never gonna happen.

In terms of this T51R idea? Well essentially what you will have is an engine with a limited shelf life. 

500kW at the wheels = 670HP ATW. 

670HP ATW = 670 x 1.2

= around 804 HP at the flywheel 

Give or take and totally depending on your method. I use a conservative 20% driveline loss (i.e. the driveline is poor).Boost should be developed from 6000rpm+, most likely usable boost by 7000rpm.

So you are looking at 800 odd horsepower per 2.5 litres? Thats 320HP per litre... That's fairly extreme by anyones standards.

As guilt-toy said (I think it was him) your looking at a grout filled block, extensive (expensive) head work, just about every trick an experienced tuner could throw at the block... Even then I have my reservations that it could pass engineering afterwards.

Along with that the entre chassis would need to be strengthened, honestly the more I think about it themore complex it gets.

This horsepower level would be far easier to achieve with something from the land of Toyota if I'm honest. I would go a 1UZ-FE with forged internals and twin turbos. That would hit 800 flywheel horsepower with little effort (comparatively). Theres the 2JZ as well. 1.5JZ.

Yeah I am not a professional engine builder, I can admit that! but i did build my forged RB30DET along with a few other engines... ohhh wait.. I have tuned it as well and have been tuning it for the last 5 or more years along with many other cars.

As for the playstation 3 comment, you are right.. I cannot wait for the new GT to come out, that game will take a fair bit of my time when i get my hands on it.

Yes my mum does drive a faster car then the car I am driving at the moment, my car is in a shipping container being shipped to Europe with a Dynodynamics dyno where I am going to further my career in building and tuning high performance cars.

I don't care if she will have a car with more power then mine. I actually race my car and enjoy it being a fully engineered EPA street legal 10 second capable car which is now being shipped across the globe for more fun! I do feel sorry for her family when she does finally hit boost in the car for the first time and ends up killing herself and possibly other innocent people at the same time (glad she is thousands of km's away from my family) if she actually goes ahead with this build, the chances of that is very slim anyway.

I think maybe you should PM this chick, get her phone number and raise some bogan babies together.
