That is one of the coolest attachments I have seen James. I want one. Would have taken 1.5 hours out of my hassles. How much?

Someone care to test this R33 GTS-T fuel light? I didn't know there was one either, and I've been pretty low in the car before. I thought it was odd that Skylines only have 50+/- litre tanks. Perhaps carry a gerry can with you in the car, just in case...

Or if you can be bothered, pull the fuel sender out of the tank.

Thought I'd revive this thread for an update on my fuel consumption. After installing the new oxygen sensor I got 350km to 50 litres on my last tank. Much better than the 280-300 I was getting before. The fuel economy seems to be continually improving so I'd say the ECU is re-learning itself too. If I can get 380km out of the current tank I'll be very happy!

Replace your oxygen sensors if it hasn't already been done in the last 80,000km!

lol has anyone who hasnt previously seen this fuel light waited long enough to see if there actually is one!?

im too nervous :P

especially when i get between 250-300kms per tank i dont want to check just incase i put my foot down too much and lose all my fuel!

yeah there is a std fuel light

it comes on when you go past empty

when you drain the tank, its about 450kms+

the fuel light will go on and off near then end and then finally stay on

so until you get to E and go past it the light wont come on

I'm still scared, the E is so damn far away from the last line. Last line is my "start looking for a servo" point. I would start crying if I had it on the E.

Can someone confirm for Series 1? I've seldom known a car to not have a fuel light, particularly a technologically advanced car like the Skyline...

Just unusual that it's not located near the fuel gauge.

paul do you know when the fuel light comes on on the R33 S2 approx how many km's there will be left when it does hit E - since my 33 chews through fuel im just a bit worried - but i might see how low i can get it and see the light for the 1st time! ;)

I'm still yet to see the fuel light...

Ive seen it too many times lol

Got a series 1, but sometimes the light comes on just before the final line. It will go on for a bit if im stopped, then go away once i start driving, stay off and then come on and off occasionally when Im on the final line

I found the elusive R33 fuel light! It took me ages to get to it though. Was a fair bit past the last line but it was nice to see I do have some sort of warning, and that I can now confidently use up the rest of old/stale fuel in the tank before filling up with fresh. Odd fuel light though...it appears to fade in and fade out slowly and sporadically. I filled up before I had a chance to see if there was a point where it would stay on permanently.

hey guys and girls,

im just wondering if other r33 gts-t owners out there can tell me what the get out of a full tank (k's).

im only getting about 280ks...or if i drive like a grandma ill maybe push 320....is this normal or is my fuel gage stuffed?

cheers, kurt

hey mate, i owned a series one r33 gts-t and on average it would be around 350km per tank on normal driving. a couple of times i beat 400km and once somehow got 500km. if u use good petrol and dont always drive with ur foot down, as well as having a regular service u should hit those sort of figures

my series 1 does have a light, seen it once, wont see it again, i had a buggered fuel filter shortly afteri saw it and re filled up, must have picked up some shit at the bottom of the tank. I do not recommend trying to see if your light works or not. It came on approx 1.5 needle widths under empty.

I get between approx 400kms highway driving and 350-360kms with short trips and boosting it every now n then.
