3l Engine Oil In Rb26

for a fresh motor, if run 3L engine oil for about 2000-3000kms (of cause no track use). is that really damage the engine??

yes the rb26 should have 5L in it. But i guess 3L is just on the minimum of oil dipstick? maybe i was wrong.

my last oil change I only got 3L oil droped off. (still in run in time) but I think there should be more oil in engine. than I found somewhere is leaking oil, but now fixed.

rb20/25 use 4.3 ltr of oil when you change the filter as well, i wasnt aware that the 26 was any different.

On paper yes but I have never seen a 20 or 25 take less than 4.8L with filter and come up to the full mark after starting.

Always put in 5L and you can't go wrong. A little over does more good than bad.

i'd be a bit worried if i only had 3l in the sump of my rb26

i've always just used the full oil bottle, and a little extra if i'm gonna be driving hard.

4.5 seems to always get it too the full mark :S

each time i do filter and oil change i always end up just putting the whole 5L in, always sits on or just above full line after a couple days
