New Cat, Sensor Wont Reach

i have just installed a new dump/front pipe and cat.

there is a sensor that is on the out end of the cat and i am not sure what it is for. however it will not reach the new socket on the new cat and i was wondering if it was needed.

Options.

1. Cable tie it neatly away and plug the hole

2. Cut the wire and extend it

3. Get a longer sensor and replace

4. Topp self

its not needed

its for a warning light on the dash cluster to tell you the cat is overheating

Think it kicks in when the cat is about 500c

if you were to keep it cut and lengthen, use the right heat protected insulation thoe, not electrical tape which to many people use, which is f**king embarrassing. thats how the alarm was installed in my halfcut
