Vin For Nissan Parts

Hi all,

Total noob question but is it only the VIN that you mention when going to your local Nissan dealership to enquire about parts? Ie - the 17 digit VIN stamped on the Firewall/Import plate/Rego sticker etc?

Or is there other numbers that will have to be mentioned as well?

well it should really be just the chassis number. but you can give them the vin if you like. he chassis number is part of the vin.

forget that, go to the nissan website select spare parts and just email them. it doesnt require you to enter a vin number. but in answer to your question yes its on the Firewall. word of advice some of the nissan guys are good some are retards you have to be very specific with what you are asking for or have the part numbers ready.

The vin on your compliance plate is one that was assigned to the vehicle when it was first complied and therefore won't work on fast.

You should give them your chassis number which will be something like hcr32-056709 and its worthwhile taking in the model code (something like KRCR32RGASLMLC) as well which will be on the same plate. Sometimes fast won't recognise the chassis number alone but will after the model code has been put in.
