What Is Wrong With Some People

This morning i go outside to see that my brother's VL parked in the gutter out the front of our house had the two wheels facing onto the road stolen with the car sitting on blocks of wood.

I live on a quiet little court in Narre Warren, its just hard to imagine people doing this.

Lucky they didnt touch the Skyline haha.

But damn some people just suck.

(end rant)

My parents have the garage, and my car gets the driveway coz its worth more haha.

So sadly his gets relegated to the street.

Its hard to think how people do this right in front of your house.

Sux that that had to happen. i once had one of my cars parked right against the house really late one night and some fool broke in and ripped out Subs, amps ,stereo the lot. Was making his last trip back to his getaway vehicle when some neighbours around the corner decided to come over for drinks. Said fool did the bolt for it but we did a search and found an unknown hectic car parked in the next street. Police were called and we just waited outside of his car until he came back whimpering and apologizing making BS excuses not to call the cops as he has a sick mother at home ....blah blah... Too late junior ..Cops are on their way. He got charged and had to pay for the reinstallation of all of my stuff.

Good to know not all of them get away with it :P

I dont get why he only stole 2 and not the whole 4. He must have been sprung by somebody and had to ditch the theft halfway through. I would be asking neighbours if any suspicious cars or persons were sighted in the vicinity.

Well it was parked right up against the gutter so im thinking maybe it was too hard for them to get to the other two.

We spoke to some neighbours; the man next door said he heard something around 4am like a clanging noise, and told his wife but she said dont worry about it and he went back to sleep.

Ironic thing is the night before that i was out for a mates 21st and i got home about 4am, had it been one night later maybe i could have caught them in the act =[

Theyre Derros.

Anyway, your brother should have thought of investing in 1 or 2 pairs of lock nut sets. No matter where you live, shit like this can and will happen

that sucks man :D

so many people which are so inconsiderate of others and their property.. its getting out of hand :(

Tonight i was on my way to work down bell street and watched this f**king wanker in a commodore swerving in and out of each lane and being a royal cockhead. this guy literally thought he was michael schumacher and ayrton senna's love child.

then all of a sudden 'bang' he runs straight into the back of a subaru liberty.

the subaru goes down the side street to exchange details and just as the traffic moves the commodore (with 3 ppl inside) floors it and takes off into the traffic.

WELL GUESS WHAT BUDDY - called up the TMU and gave them his rego etc.

I hope this guy gets f**ked up.

If someone did a hit and run on my car - id be furious - i just hope the person in the subaru was okay.

^ I've had a hit and run done on me. Drunk driver ran up the back of my pride and joy first car, 4 months into my P plates. Steps out of his piece of shit car with a can of bourbon in his hand, trying to pass it off as both our fault and wanting to shake hands / walk away. As soon as I mentioned getting the cops to sort it out, he got in his car and drove off. The guy got away with it too, even though I had his numberplates. Apparently cops don't do shit unless someone was injured in the accident. Constable f**kface had the guys details on screen but couldn't give me them because of the Privacy Act, instead offering to write out a report after his 2 week holiday starting tomorrow. Apparently it's up to your insurance company or a solicitor to take care of a "civil" matter. RACV didn't want to know about it until they had won their court case allowing them to use number plates to track down hit and runs. No less than a year later I get a phone call from RACV telling me they had won their case and could proceed with my hit and run claim. Unfortunately I had written off the car before then so there was no point and/or evidence. I'll never forget the number plates; SDP-177. Car is now deregistered (according to the Vicroads website) so I'll never catch the guy. Hypothetically if I did I would make him bleed, on concrete, alot.

Hate to say it but that Commodore driver will probably get away with it unless the Subaru owner wrote down his plates, or the TMU match up your information to the Subaru accident report and give it to them.

Notice to everyone: if you're involved in a hit and run, try and have an injury. Even if you have to feign it...or the police will tell you where to go.

In short and on topic, it's quite common that people don't give a shit about you and/or your property.

Narre Warren, say no more :D

Id be looking at neighbours if your in a court, perhaps a mate of a neighbour saw the car \ wheels and thought they would come back for the goods.

Unfortunately there are more and more dodgy people around that area, it is unfortunate that he could not park it in a garrage.

Id almost put money that they are now the front wheels of a commodore with stockies on the back, however there are alot of those in your area :)

Reading some of these stories really gets the blood boiling. My uncle was in a crappy situation once, was in the preston market carpark and some woman backed right out hitting him on the passenger side doors. He gets out to exchange insurance information and she begins abusing him, he gets out his mobile to call the police and she immediately says "you see, your on your mobile when you drive im gonna tell the police." The woman then simply drives off shouting racial insults.

Was a......you guessed it big boat of a ford falcon; needless to say he took the plate number and reported it to police and insurance company.

my 2cents (story form)

when I was on my p's a few years ago, staying at my gf's place I hear this loud as phuk crash out front like 6am. go out to inspect and my beloved (back then) vs commy is now the size of a barina from being squashed between the tree i was parked behind on a nature strip and some old like ea falcon. turns out the driver was

1. drunk

2. suspended liscence

3. no insurance

4.a bogan

I got his details and i knew they were right cos the cops had the same ones that they checked on the spot, got my car valued and he agreed to pay me out. met with him 3 weeks later he gives me cash (must have got a loan or sumthin dilligaf)

i wrote him a reference for his court case a week later :)

everyone i knew couldnt believe that he paid up, so i spose it depends on individuals morals at the end of the day

    • Much less twat-tastic. CF wheels are too garish for civilised use.
    • From there, as the manual says....assembly is the reverse of disassembly, no tricks worth mentioning Much better (for me)
    • In my case, the standard wheel I had was in good condition but the buttons had more wear, so I swapped them across from the original wheel from the car. The plastic rear cover is held on by 4 tabs, and once the wiring is removed you can get access to 2 screws on each side the hold the buttons in From there I just swapped the wiring over. What was interesting is the standard style wheel is 2.0kg but the carbon fibre one is 50% heavier at 2.9kg. It even has a weight inside the wheel at the top to make up for some sort of imbalance in the design. weird
    • Once the airbag is off, to remove the steering wheel.... Undo the 2 plugs into the clock spring, and the horn connector from it's clip. Hit the 19mm nut with a rattle gun (preferably) or if you don't' have one, you probably want an assistant to hold the wheel in place while you use a breaker bar to undo the nut Then, screw the nut back on 3 turns, and pull the wheel sharply towards you. If that doesn't work hit it medium force with a rubber mallet on either side, or possible behind if you can get there. If that all fails (it shouldn't!) you might need a steering wheel puller
    • So, to next task....the carbon fibre steering wheel was either an expensive factory option or a chinesium special. Either way, I don't like either the flat bottom or thick ring style, so it had to go So...to remove the steering wheel.... First, disconnect battery negative and stomp on the brake pedal for a few seconds. Then, remove the small circular covers on each side of the wheel's rear surround to uncover the airbag clips. You need to push something like a flat bladed screw driver through, to push the steel clip inwards and pull the side of the airbag forward. Once you've done the easy side, same on the centre console side. You can see the tab you are shooting for circled in red Then, disconnect the horn spade connector and for the yellow airbag plug you need to get something small under the black locking tab to pop it out, then the connector releases......airbag is off
