Im wondering if anyone is towing with there c34 on a regular basis and if theres anything that i should look out for ie: wear and tear, whether they tow good cause i know some cars arent designed for towing. The reason im asking is that ive just got myself a custom made towbar and ive ordered a tradies trailer cause im a carpenter. Ill be towing around 600 to 750kg everyday and im just a bit worried that the car wont handle that sort of weight on it everyday. My towbar has been rated at 2t but its not that, that im worried about its the suspension and other things.

Any help would be good

Well since your car is a manual, you won't have to worry about a shift-kit or bigger trans cooler...

You will probably want to upgrade the springs and shocks at some stage, but apart from that it should be a non-issue. Perhaps except some slightly 'tougher' brake pads?

Duncan regularly uses his Stagea to tow his GT-R race car, and EvoMitchy uses his to two his Lancers, so you'll have no issues.

yep i took my "lancer" :D interstate and had no dramas- just under 2 tonne and well over 3000kms round trip. I would however recommend upgraded suspension and brakes. Other than that it tows like a champion (and drinks like one too hehe)

and what he said!!

They are a great tow car as long as you are ok with stopping to fill up all the time. very smooth and comfortable, plenty of power, good handling. totally unlike a crappy old foulcan really.

    • Last year I got a set of MCA street coilovers for my turbo Forester after my son hitting a concrete gutter/wall on a small bridge causing the whole drivers side suspension to get bent because the rain just made the car slide out I love them, I think they were $2400. even had a hiccup of have the wrong hub configuration (my fault) so got onto MCA and they sent the correct shock ends overnight parts from QLD, for free!  I was very impressed with their customer service and quality of the product
    • They've had some weird failures on their brake actuators. One of them was because they added some kind of lubricant to the factory fill brake fluid that aftermarket brake fluid didn't have so it would affect the seals. Another was just mysterious, probably internal corrosion or something eating away at Prius brake actuators. Parts alone for those are a few thousand USD so not a cheap fix.

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?
