Hey guys not sure if you read my post a little while ago about a split pipe and the car acting silly etc etc

well this is the pipe that split now i have a question.

Can i remove this pipe? or is there another option i can replace it with, lol im not even sure what it does? i think ive seen it removed on some engines and i think ive also seen a little air? looking filter on the right hand side. basicly ive still got tape on it and it hurts my feelings, coz it looks terrible.

Any Ideas?

I'm also very interested in the response to this. A that pipe is now taped up on mine too and there are a couple of other pipes that are perished and need replacing.

I was thinking of calling nissan and seeing if they have a hose/pipping kit for the RB. Or get a pic and go down and get the specific part numbers for them. Though on the other hand could probs get somone on here to Fast them.

It's the intake (vent) for the PCV system. If it's leaking then the car will be using un-metered air, and running like crap.

Grab a new one from your local dealer - I can't FAST it right now as I'm at work, but it won't be too hard for them to find...

Its pain to get a replacement hose for that one, I ended up just measuring the diameter of the ends, got some rubber hose(rated for oil/fuel) and using some screw clamps. Much, much easier to get on and off when doing the plugs.

But with a series 2 it's covered so you can't tell till you take the cover off, so it's up to you if you want to track the hose down.
