Full on FIA GT rules with 3 classes of power to weight.

GTA min of 2.7Kg/Hp

GTB min of 3.7Kg/Hp

GTC min of 4.7Kg/Hp

40 minute mini enduro races with mandarory pits stop of driver change or refuel.

Performance box data recorder for checking power out put.

open to all but GT1 cars, but sportsedans i have arrange to slip under the radar and can be used LOL

ohh i ample BB, have you been peeking in the showers again !

I have options i suppose.

Sad old R32 wide body Skyline RB26/30 running the GPC class.

S1 Lotus exige with K20 Honda conversion in GPB class. Being built as we speak.

S1 Lotus exige with turbo honda conversion in GPA class.

Or Sportsedan with F3$% off V8 engine, clunky old 4 speed gearbox and a quickchange diff

Just for interest we are going to develop this body kit a bit more so its sits lower to the surface and flat bottom the old car. Also ordered or going to as soon as i work out what the difference in oil picks up are, a RIPS RB26/30 bottom end and a stocko too.

Seems the garage these days is knocking out body kits for lots of different cars you should see the EVO currently under development. Might be able to find a link to show you

Support race i dont think that would be a possiblity. But they are talking about getting our cars down there before the F1 to give the circuit a pounding to see if there are any issues before the F1 race Snowy.

At this point there is talk of hold some of our race meeting there but thats yet to be confirmed.

Sad sad day!

Seems that the skyline will be commited to trackdays from here on it. I just cant see a way i could get it to compete with what is on the way for our next race season. The heat here just kills the FI cars. Dont think i could bring myself to sell it but will cross that bridge if and when. Will put it online and see if some one is keen enough to campain it again.

Not sure if i will be allowed back on the site but my business partner and i have ( tomorrow ) purchased a GT3 viper to race in the GTA class and the Lotus exige ( with K20 honda conversion ) for the endurance racing and GTB class if we feel like doing 45 minutes each.

very sorry to hear that, you've probably done more races in a skyline than anyone on here. but in the end racing's about competing, there is no reason to run around on your own at the back :D

the viper and exige will be a real step up, more reliable, and probably cheaper over time

Hey Duncan,

Had a change of heart we are rebuilding the engine for the old girl as i got her apart last weekend on a 2 day trip backto dubai from Joburg.....was only 47 degrees and pulling a rb26 out of a GTR i need medical help i reckon.

Anyway i am going to finish what i started and get engine back together, needs crank rods etc etc. Then fit the wide body kit and then let the engine tuner run it in the GTC class, which seems we can get the old girl down to that power to weight. Had some thoughts on a new look for the oldgirl. Yes the viper will be on a different plant but i think the skyline will always be a favorite, and not just me i have lots of people telling me i have to run it again LOL quite clearly thesepeople dont know what it takes to keep a GTR running

    • Wish I had this advice when I did my pump. It went in and out 3 or 4 times, and on the last time it snapped.
    • Tried them, they leaked. I also foolishly bought some random rubber ones that leaked too.  Genuine and not looked back.    As always though sample size of one, and I could have made a mistake installing them.
    • Technically still manual process to set it first time though
    • Shit job but not hard. I'd use a piece of wood to knock the plastic lid open to avoid damaging it, use a vacuum to clean up the fuel sender lid also so crap doesn't fall in. I'd probably do pump and filter at the same time since you're already in there, I reused my OEM sock after a quick clean since the one provided wasn't long enough. Could also hardwire your pump if you feel inclined.
    • Supercheap auto sell this: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/pat-plusquip-fuel-tank-lock-ring-tool---universal-kit/SPO3564082.html I own this and if you HAVE PATIENCE you can remove it without snapping lines and generally being incredibly angry, then said at doing this job. Sadly I've removed the pump about 75,000 times over the years. I don't know if you're a large lad or a smaller lad but my advice to you as someone who is 185cm is if you are my height or smaller, is to sit in the boot and take your time. Yes you can put the seal on. The seal goes over the white thing/lid (you will see how it 'slots' in) then the whole assembly presses into the tank. then you screw the lock ring on. I spent so much time doing things the wrong way by trying to mount the seal into the tank first, then putting the white fuel hat on in the space provided. Put it together first then it'll all go in. But seriously be careful about removing the hoses AND where the removal tool is moving relative to the plastic pipes coming out of the lid when you've removed it. IT IS BRITTLE So brittle in fact I have two spare lids, and would recommend buying a spare and having it handy before attempting to do this. May as well throw https://justjap.com/products/deatschwerks-dw300-fuel-pump-nissan-s13-silvia-r32-r33-r34-skyline-c34-stagea?currency=AUD in the tank as well, as this uses all stock plugs and such. You may need to/strongly recommend you re-use your OEM fuel sock or use the one supplied with a length of hose so it sits at the stock height.
