Need some advice people. I want to find out what turbos i have on my gtr. Does this involve pulling apart half my engine bay to find out. Im interested cos recently found out i had a mines chipped ecu. Car also has a 320km nismo dash and also 3 nismo gauges. Car has custom dump pipes and a 3.5inch exhaust with hks superdrager muffler. Also got a super avcr in which was set at 1.2bar when i got the car. Im the first owner in aus and am interested to know what other mods it may have which in the long run will save me heaps.

look from under the car, or remove a few induction pipes to look from on top, look for a silver metal ID tag and record the numbers, that is of course that it has a tag. Look for any HKS markings on the compressor covers (or other brands) If they are high flow customs, then you would have to pull them off for a definitive answer.

undo the intake piping and look at the compressor cover

if its standard you will see

GARRETT or NISSAN

0.42 A/R

but think of it this way, if you were selling a car, and it had different turbochargers, why would you not including it in the description to crank up the price more? i mean, no one in their right mind would sell a skyline with upgraded turbochargers and not list them to justify the 5k extra cost

From what i can see by looking through the piping with a torch it has garrett. Bought the car from a yard in which the car had only been in aus for a few days. it hadnt been complied or regoed. They didnt say nothing about the chipped ecu so im assuming they didnt really have a good look at what was on the car. All the guy could tell me is there were a heap of mods and that he wasnt very sure at what had been done to it????
