Any1 know if ya can by the socks for hks air filters??? or do ya have to buy whole damn filter again???

I got some replacements from greenline when I brought my POD. I'm sure you could get them from places that deal in aftermarket bits.

i imagine you are talking about the HKS foam pod filters....

well you can wash them, and re-oil and use them again, and also you can buy just the foam for about $60 from auto shops, i am buying one this weekend...

i am gonna wash the old one and keep it for the next replacement.

pardon my ignorance, but what is the need of air filter socks for road cars.

I used things called filter skins (several at a time) as an initial barrier for my foam filter on my dirtbike, especially in very dusty conditions. They trap 90+% of dirt so you can rip them off anytime and clean them and it saves the arduous task of cleaning a dirty oiled foam filter and re-oiling.

I hope i am talking about the right thing..........:tomato:
