is sat morning enough to rewire my HID ballast & check/recalibrate the cc? :-p if not enough time no worries then,

still need to find a way to amplify that nav sound without introducing engine noise interference,

am I like a chronic disease, chris?

8am Sat 6th? i might hang around, hardly anywhere else to go there except brekkie @ Macca. should I get a new pair of bulbs? as I don't know if my two bulbs are actually working or has accidentally had fingerprints on them when the RAWS removed them. they were just lying around in the plastic bag with all the other bits and bobs from the ballast / ignitors.

i m looking for someone to install reverse camera.

Input thru AUX in OEM screen or the screen can switch to camera view when put in reverse gear? OR reverse camera input to eclipse AVN6000, and then output to AUX on oem screen.

Which way can u do it? Friday free? from 1pm onwards.

Also price~ thanks!

rianto,

I would say yes myself. the front has to come off and I'd like to have a fresh set so I know they work.

danny,

do you have the camera or are we supplying it?

done, i bought a pair of phillips d2r off ebay usa, hope the expedited post gets them here before you arrive.

150 deg . it goes above the plate off to the left side slightly. as for cost $400 fitted. camera is $325 and it will take me at least an hour do it properly if I route it via the AVN. if I route it via the OEM item then $500. I'll need to bring a aux in lead with me.

Hey Chris how are you doing?

Mate this post is great news for me, I've been in touch with you (a couple of months ago) regarding some modifications here in Melbourne, and just today I picked up my V35 after finances all got sorted out, I've taken it to the mechanic to get the Road Worthy Certificate to register here in VIC so I should have the car fully registered and on the road by the end of the week.

My car: 2003, auto, stock standard, no upgrades :)

Now I have a HUGE list of things I need done so don't know how you will go time-wise, but just let me know if possible or not. The list is as follows:

  • Radio controls on steering wheel
  • Cruise control
  • Sat Nav. - Keeping original screen
  • Radio - FM tuner, etc
  • TV tuner???? (possible???)

That's it for now, hahaha

What would the cost be? Thank you!!!

Also I will send you my number in a PM so that I can have a phone conversation with you regarding advise on the conversion.

Thanks again.

Hello again Chris,

Sorry I could not send you a PM, it told me that I have to have a minimum of 10 posts before I can PM. Although I have PM'd you before, I just tried replying to one of those previous PM's but didn't let me. Must be a new rule.

Anyhow my number is 0402 963 427, if you could call me please, that would be appreciated.

Regards,

Juan Pablo

millos,

I'll call you on this. its alll doable for a price. have a cruise unit on hand for it currently.

Hi Chris,

In relation to the work detailed above, is credit card an acceptable method of payment in the Boronia shop? Either through the shop there or by providing you with the details and getting it done through your shop?

rianto,

53 only.

danny,

milllos got the jump. yours is doable - you are welcome to drop by stylyn in boronia for a quick chat if you want. as for using a toyota camera- no.

millos,

thats fine. adam and I sort it out internally anyway.

    • I should note too as I have all 4 wheel speed inputs to the emtron I now have the emtron controlling the attessa solenoid for 4wd/traction and launch control strategies.
    • It works quite well with the adjustibility within each of the programs of the turbolamik. Essentially p1 is drive and lockup comes on like a normal driver.  But in program 7 I have customised it to not request the lockup clutch to engage until something like 6500/7 when slip was the lowest.
    • Yep, I like that. The tags are only on the first post of a thread and we don't get huge numbers of new threads. Also, I plan to add some more report types and we could have a member report type like 'review tags' then members could flag if they thought a topic wasn't tagged correctly.  No way man, I dig the input. Thanks!
    • It's a valid thought. There's not exactly that functionality already (when creating a thread) - that's where the OP can use/create any tag they want. We'd have to come up with a way for the user to request their tags get reviewed or something. Otherwise the mods would have to review every new post's tags (for those that have them, anyway). There's kind of that functionality already exists to some extent, post facto of starting the thread, where the OP or any other user could report the post to admins, and request that tags get reviewed. We could do this already, and any user could already have made such a request. To make it a part of the forum proper, it would require an initial and an ongoing education programme, so that people know that it's a thing. OP based tagging/request for review would also require at least some (probably most) of the user base to be told that it's a thing they can do. Both of these things probably wouldn't spread too far and/or get used very much. If it was the standard approach on a lot of different sites, then it might do, because people would be used to it. Prank's approach to this differs from my original thought, by leaning into tagging. Which is fine - it's possibly better than what I originally suggested. In fact, I just went to the R32 GTR wiring diagram thread and added tags, including "Library". That's probably a good way to use tags and the idea of a library. We just have to drag together an (organised!) index of threads or posts that have that tag. I have yet to do any of my own follow up by pursuing worthy threads and posts and reporting/marking/tagging them for the library, such as the @Sydneykid stuff I was talking about, and possibly any amount of @Lithium 's and others' posts. At least if I tag them Library, we'll have a start.   Back to @Wazmond's idea as it relates to @PranK's, we might have some sort of a list of tags that are already used to scrape for this library. I'm not entirely sure how that would be presented or used, particularly if it got long. But it's yet another idea!   cheers
    • Just a thought, but instead of restricting, is it possible to do like an "up for review" kind of thing? Where say someone who's not an admin/mod tags, it would require approval for it to actually tag? User posts with a 'tag' > Admin/Mod Reviews > Approves tag > Tag now exists kinda thing? Just came across this thread so Im not too sure if Im straying off topic or not but forgive me if i am...
