Radiator Fan Staying On

Sorry to ask a Honda question, but my friend has a question I thought someone might know the answer to..

Should the fan stay on for a while, even after you've turned the engine off?

She said it used to stay on, but her radiator was stuffed.. and now she's had that fixed it still stays on... she's just wondering if it should?? She's been told different things...

it should if temp sensors are suggesting so. if she is just reversing it out of the driveway turning it off straight away and the fan still turns on then it could be a temp sensor/thermostat issue? thats my stab in the dark.

A couple of my mates have Preludes and both theirs do the same, I assume it's the factory setup.
