Wow Darrin, love your work it looks like it could have rolled out of a factory like that.

Time to enjoy it now you lucky bugger ;)

Enjoy it for one more weekend. I have Monday (rdo) off work so will probably park it and strip the front end.

I have 3 guys on here chasing me for the turbo and exhaust.

Will strip the engine bay ready to paint and fit new turbo etc over next 3-4 weeks

At some time need to drop the rear subframe and clean it up as well. Has a little too much rust starting.

Need to make my mind up on new wheels or not. If I go the Rays they are are a 6-8 weeks wait

Was thinking maybe going ROH modena 3 peice. Made in Australia to order, but take 12-13 weeks.

Here is a set on wrx, crap offset, need alot more dish. Plus they are approx $1000 cheaper than the Rays GT-c's

They do not come in gold, so will need to pull them apart and paint them.

im certain that i still have that fast fours mag with your celica, and like everyone else has been saying the stag looks great, well done mate.

If you still have the mag, you must be getting old like me :)

It mad 6 different mags and 13 trophies from 7 shows

I think I will order the GT-c's tomorrow

Sick of looking around and deciding

Probably 18x9, as 19's only come in either 8.5 or 9.5 and the offsets do not really suit my needs.

LEXBOMB .. .. pics of the MAtte black bonnet please, i want an image idea, cause im torn on gloss finish or matte :D

I have seen two white stageas with black bonnets... it ruins them IMO... like the whole wannabe carbon fibre, and if you had carbon fibre in vic, you would paint it on a light car.

Gold GTC's for sure, Personally not a fan of that colour on that car, but you built that car for you, and you like it, and that is all that matters!!! the car sits well and the conversion looks great!

Gold GTC's for sure

Have been considering these as well

Rays GTS in gunmetal.

18x9 +1 type A fronts

18x9 +23 type C rears

Both have a huge outer 100mm rim. . .nice

GT-c's would be

18x9 +5 type A Face 2 fronts

18x9 +25 type C Face 2 rears

73mm of rim

or

18x9 +12 type A Face 1 fronts

18x9 +35 type C Face 1 rears

80mm of rim

Dude go the GT-C's in gunmetal grey. I have to admit i have a soft spot for black/grey rims but they would look tops.

On the same note for that total JDM look u could paint the lip of the rim the same blue as the car. U want the car to stand out.

Personally, of your choices Darrin, I'd go with the GT-S's, because GT-C's are a lot more common and it's what everyone else wants on their car. That's the same reason I didn't have TE-37's on my shortlist for my car - everyone seems to go for them.

Mind you, I LOVE GT-C's and TE-37's, but I want to be a bit different... If I could have justified the cost, I would have gone for CE-28N's or the (then) new RE-30's in either Bronze or Titanium grey.

But when those V35 wheels came up, I couldn't resist the price, so I snapped them up - I saw them on Gorgasm's car, but knew that he was in NZ, so having two cars with the same wheels in the same place was highly unlikely.

Oh, the GT-30's, GT-M's and Progressive ME's are also very nice - aggressive, but stylish at the same time.

GT-30's:

GT-M's:

Progressive ME's (although they don't have dish):

As new, they are a guy I know's, He has always looked after his car and rims... Could correct the rolling diameter with tyre profile, or do you want 18x9?

F: 18" x 8" + 23 (Advan RS2 semi slicks, just under the markers)

R 18" x 9" +21 (Michelin Pilot Sport 2's, also under the markerS)

I have seen these thanks, but they do not suit my needs

The main problem I have with wheels for my car is with the wider front end and that stagea's have 50mm less track on the front than the back, to fill the front with any standard sort of offset and 8 inch rims, I need to run spacers which I currently have on the front. I have 25mm spacers now with 18x9 +30 rims so that brings the offset back to +5. It is pretty hard to buy a 1 piece rim with a +5 or 0 offset. So that is why I am chasing a 2/3 piece rim and build them the way I need them so I do not have to run spacers and keep it semi legal.

Also with a wider 25mm offset on the front I have to make sure i do not end with more dish on the front than the rear so that would just look wrong.

If I do go with GT-c's, J-imports have the a pair of rears in 18x9 +25 face 2 type C disk 73mm rim $1500. So I just need to buy a matching new front pair in +5 type A disk which have the same 73mm rim.

When I originally bought the R34 rims I also bought a set of 18x8 +30 GT-c's in silver at the same time. To be honest they looked like crap with low offset, not much rim/dish and in silver.

It is a shame I can not try so the different wheels on the car. It is a big expense to buy new rims and decide they do not suit.

I like the idea of the GTS as not many people have them, but the design of the spoke with the extra bracing on the back of the spoke annoys me.

Here is a set of 18x10 +17 face 2 with a 73mm outer rim

This is exactly what the amount of dish will look like

The rims would be perfect fit on the front but hang out the on the rear too far :)

Hey Darrin wish I had your problems I hate having to decide on new rims :)

The GTC's will look good I am sure. Have you considered these advan RG2 rims, might even be cheaper and they come in 18 x 9 in a +29 or +22 offset. I reckon they would look sex on your stagea. I must admit I am going off dished rims a bit unless thay have massive offset and super stretched tyres, its becoming the norm now everyone wants dish.
