Got a quote from a place near Brisbane (CES) for a complete turbo back, high flow cat and magnaflow muffler installed for $1950. Ialso got a estimate from a place in capalaba for between $1200-1500.

Ces use a custom twin head dump pipe that, matched with the full package, adds 40 rwkw to the r34 gts. They say it will match my m35.

Apparently this custom twin dump pipe they make gives about 20rwkws over single pipe dump.

Obviously awkw improvement would be lower, but the vq25det has truckloads more torque than the rb25 so it could still be a big improvement.

Has anybody else used these guys, or heard muchb about them??

I am keen to spend a bit more if it yields gains as big as they suggest.

ces are well known for some of the best split f/dump and exhausts in the business, you only have to check out there results at the drags and on power boats, there welding is art and performance gains are very impressive(28kw on rs4 with a full s/s system split front inc). there is some debate about the posistion of the 02 sensor on rb pipes but after 4yrs i've never had a problem, they are pricey but you get what you pay for, and as far as sound goes i've said it before and i'll say it again" it sounds like ripping silk"(spools loud)

I have a CES Split on my RS4S and I can vouch that the quality of it is great. Only problem I have had with it though is the position of the O2 sensor as mentioned above. Makes it hard to remove one of the nuts from it to remove from turbo but that is fixed by just removing the O2 sensor first. As for power gains I can't comment on that because it came attached to the car.

doesn't the m35 have a different dump pipe compared to the 34's? i'm not sure but i know they have a different turbo. so ces said they had the same dump or would make one up?

They would have to make one up.

Different exhaust flange to the 34.

(queuing Iain with flange jokes)
