I'm told this has been for sale for some time. Nearly since Adam was a boy?

And from people that have seen it, it's about $10,000.00 too dear.

I just bought an Iron Mask DR30 from Sunshine Coast Queensland for $3400.00 + $830.00 to get it to Sydney and it's by far a better deal than you're offering for nearly triple the money.

Maybe you have over capitalised in the car, maybe you have a far to limited market to sell to, maybe it be yours forever under these conditions.

Cheers, D

The car was bought with these mods actually....

I've had it for around three months....

So it's only a fresh Ad.

Hey Man your car sounds awesome!!

Would you mind telling me what and how much work was involved in putting all that s13 stuff in the front of the car? Did you have to change the subframe?

Or did it all fairly much bolt in ?

Cheers Heaps

If you want Pm me so it does not jack your for sale post

Best of luck with the sale!!

Awesome? Somebody says!

With these mods, as it stands it will NEVER pass for road use, so it's a track car your buying or have bought and just 3 months ago?????

What's wrong with it I would be asking????????

The KDR30 I just bought was for track use only, but as I have an KHR30 as well, I already have lots of bits I can swap into it to make it better & my KHR30 will be a better, nicer, road car as a result.

Remember a track car has virtually no rules to abide by, no ADR's to be concerned with and the sky is the limit.

R34,

I was merely pointing out the obvious. This car is for sale for $10,000.00 and I would expect the buyer would like to drive it on the road .... registered & legal?

The first 4 S13 mods would need to be engineer assessed, because they are structural changes to an ADR affected vehicle.

The 4 point harnesses would have to go and ADR approved seat belts fitted in place of. Harnesses of any kind don't carry ADR or AS classifications.

The new clutch, silicone piping etc, might suggest it was the same car that had an RB in it previously.

The hydraulic handbrake, battery in cabin, starter switch set up, fuel cell & locked diff are all subject to engineer & ADR classification so legal registration could be very expensive if possible at all which are costs on top of the 10 grand being asked. And if it has a stand alone programmable ECU, for a blue slip in NSW or it's equivalent in any other state, I would think be no chance, the registering authorities aren't keen on a/mkt programmable ECU's at any time, least of all for initial registration.

This car as it sits is a race / track car and as it has no credentials, 10G's is a lot of money & therefore the market he has is extremely limited.

Gill,

I apologise if you took it that I was trying to bury the car, but the obvious is the obvious and I am just making it sure those that look are aware of what is likely to be in front of them.

It could be a smart car, and for owning it just 3 months and getting out of it, would suggest something is very wrong with the car or your son has found what I have suggested, to be very true.

Cheers, D

Ive followed progress of this car over the last few years

It used to have a FJ20et with a few HKS goodies, owned by josh priseman of tassie, he was in the process of installing the RB26

the FJ20 sold complete for $1500

it was used in drift comps at baskerville and brought in a few placings

also used as a hillclimb car u[ near berridale

then some kid on boostcruising got it, prob without engine, and done the SR conversion

and now the next owner is selling it!!!

dont worry I have been stalking this car for a long time :D

It came into the country about the same time as my car, for around the $10,000- $12,000 mark uncomplied (if I remember correctly), except it looked a little more like this. I would have snapped it up but it would have been too hard to comply in SA plus I had only just taken delivery of my DR

And yes this is the actual car and the picture the importer used while selling it

phatty.jpg

Dennis I dont see any need for your posts picking the car apart. He isnt trying to hide any facts from anyone, he's not trying to lead anyone astray. He's just trying to sell his car. As you said yourself the obvious is the obvious.

hi, james here, im the owner of the car

ghostrider, good for you with you 30, sounds liek you got the bargian of the century, now go tell soemone about it who wants to know, im jsut tryin to sell my car

ive actaulyl ahd the car for nearly 6 months, i bought it off josh priseman aas an unfinished project andfinished it off, it starts drives and is a sweet peice of kit imo,

i swapped it for my r32 skyline and have since poured more money into it to make it what it is, pics and description cant express the car, so much better in person imo,

anyone got any rough idea how many are in the country? or were ever built, it is a rare car, and has had lots of work done to bring it to what it is,

to be honest i go through lots of cars, i own them, work on them, drive them a little and eventually get bored of them (sometimes very quickly), only things that need to be done is a coupel of guages wiring in the dash and a wheel alignment, it has been looked over by a rego inspector and he told me for full registration a few of the parts dont meet ADR, but club or special intrest is on the cards for it and leaneancy is allowed, so it could well make it on the road exactly as it is

it was built by nic priseman to be able to pass registration, all work is very neat, and has been tried to make streetable (such as the blow off valve piping outlets inplace for plumb back) etc

so if anyone is genuinly keen please enquire, other wise keep your opinions to your self!!!! oh and ghost rider get a job or find something better to do with your time, obviously to much time on ya hands :D

thanks

james

James james james....

first of all, Mr. Ghostrider is like the Grandmaster of R30ness, any post of his is usually in good taste and can be of help in most times! There are many experienced datto/nissan gurus here... but its hard to filter through all the shit like georgebryant or mister30 the petrol sniffer

Now as for registration, being a Hobart boy myself i know that it is ALOT more relaxed than it is here in melb/syd/canberra...

If it was fully registered and engineered, no work whatsoever to be done, you would likely get around the dollars you are chasing (MAYBE..... as the buyer would almost only be an enthusiast like the 30 or so of us here on SAU)

As for numbers, there are a few hundred still around, registered etc. Tassie would have a heap of Oz spec MR30's, but as for the 2 door turbo variants, very few. in the 19 years I lived there, I never saw one...

The going price for a clapped out MR30 is $200 to $800, for a DR30, $4000 for a clapper, $8000 for a good one, $10,000 for the one Ross had, this one had over $50,000 in receipts, did about 350kW at the rears once tuned, and was pure porn...

Your car will likely sell for $8000, basically its a $5000 car with a $2000 engine in it

I would suggest getting everythingn approved and sell it as a legal street car, advertise on FJ20.com, nissansilvia, boostcruising

Even swaps would be an idea, as its hard to sell these rare beautys!

upload a heap of pics on imageshack or similar, and post up a link for all to see

Just let him sell his car!!

Wow just because you wouldnt pay $10,000 for it doesnt mean that you have to go f**k up his for sale thread. (even though this is the wrong area for it)

If I recall correctly it went to Tassie for round the $10,000 mark, after all it doesnt matter what you think its worth, it's what people are willing to pay
