the install went alright you need to trim the manifold heat shield, extend you cooler pipe make up and intake pipe and oil line is given and water lines blocked up and the dump pipe in regards to it buckling i put the extension inside the o ring and spot welded around it so was no buckling because its matches up perfect with the Oring on the turbo and dump it just doenst seal ive put sum exhuast sealant and a gasket and its worked fine. but the turbo itself is great a few minor things to modify but worth it rather than paying 4000 for a direct bolt

size of the turbo

custom cooler pipe 2inch to 2.5inch going from turbo to stock cooler pipe

how the cooler pipe extension sat

roughly how it would look like when put together prety well hidden

31052009004.th.jpg

intake pipe made up used a 90degree silicon elbow from the turbo then this 45 degree offcut clamped onto the elbow

errrrr its not 100% on the clamp. You can get stronger clamps but Its just made to hold, It can't seal up gaps.

Its when you weld the dump pipe into the O ring. They don't expand in the same sort of rate. So on the end the flat surface of the O ring becomes buckled under pressure as it cools down.

Normally to weld the O ring you need to divide it into small sections wait it cools down before moving on to next, Or machine the O ring flange flat before fitting it in the car.

i checked them both and they were 100% flat and true, we swap out the supplied clamps and the problem goes away.....

looks good man. do you have a pic with everything put back on (heat shield etc.)

does it look sorta stock?

I havnt put the turbo heat shielf bak on cause its kinda hard to fit it in theres not much room espiacly with the acutaor and all you would prob have to modify the origanal one cutting it down alot and bolting it to the exhust manifold heat shield but yeah apart from that looks stock espcially with stock airbox

nice pics, thanks for that!

do u have any of the dump pipe installed?!?

you should be able to get a v-clamp to suit from most turbo stores

just want to confirm the spec of turbo you used was it a TR43i with internal gate with 31mm hole? maybe hypergear can confirm?

Ill try get you a pic of the dump pipe installed but you basically get a 2.75inch Oring which you end up welding to your existing dumpipe then clamp it on. yeah its tr43I 500hp turbo IW and i think its 29mm

will be very interested to see well it holds/controls boost

plus how responsive and what power it makes, when u getting it tuned?

Well im losing my lincese in a few weeks so im gona save up do the injectors pump and afm then get remap ecu at dr drift and tuned. so ye a while

I managed to get my heat shield back on by bending it a little. I tried to take some pics but my camera is not playing nice at the moment.

Mine is going back to Status next week, getting the clutch and a new map done for my mammoth injectors so I will hopefully be pushing the high 200's then. I'll keep you all posted.
