R32 4 Door, Flares, Gaurd Rolling?

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I've recently purchased a 32 4 Door Skyline, thinking about purchasing some 19's however they are rather wide and will stick out past the guard by in inch or so, i plan on stretching some tyres on and adjusting the camber (adj camber bars all round) however i'm looking at putting either a set of flares from tokage or getting the guards stretched and wrapped around the wheel.

With the car being a 4 door, i'll run in to the problem of well, the door being there near the wheel arch...

Just wondering if anyone has seen it done? Trying to find pictures for some ideas on what can be done but i haven't found one yet.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated on what the go is?

Cheers Ash. :P

the rear cannot be flared that much because there is not much gap between the rear door, bolt on flares would also be difficult because the lack of space also, on another note why 19s?

19s would raise the car and make it look like a monster truck, id go for some nice wide 17s with tuff offset, but each to there own

    • Un able to check it at idle as it won’t idle for me long enough to try, best I’m able to do is with ignition on engine off and no matter where I turn the tps the voltage doesn’t change from 5.10, if I unplug afm it will idle longer but won’t turn off with ignition, have since swapped afm to no real change

    • Sorry to sound thick....but what does the "faceplate" have to do with adjusting the odometer? Surely the odo stays put and you change the fascia. Surely they are not the same thing.
    • I know its been 13 years since this topic, but it came up when i was searching to fix my problem so thought i would add my 2cents in and how i fixed my issue.  my r33 had air coming out off all the vents except the center one. i went straight down the rabbit hole expecting it to be a mechanical issue, pulled the dash apart tracing lines, checking linkages etc. it turned out the very fine fly screen mesh behind the center vent was actually VERY blocked so when i had the air on face the air would take the path of least resistance and come out the 2 side vents but allow nothing out the center vent. a quick clean fixed the issue. once the mesh is clean you can see the air direction flaps moving inside through the mesh.
    • Glad that worked out for you. I think my Joyeauto one is coming this week but I won't get to install it til closer to end of October. Will update when I get around to it. Just standard CP and nothing else. Hopefully the cameras all work without needing to get out of CP and get back in as they advertised. My other worry is sound quality. Fingers crossed!
