Need Help Installing Monitor/screen

im trying to install some no brand flip out screen in my car and connecting it to my jvc dvd unit

ive put it in but now have a problem

when im playing normal audio cds, the track list is normally displayed on the screen wich is all good

but when i put a dvd in, i get a message saying "driver must not watch while driving etc" or something like that

i get this message when the handbrake is pulled and the car switched off

whats the problem?

Easyiest way is find a Very! good ground for yer ground wire,

I had the same problem with my double din dvd player, But i didnt have it connected to my handbrake just straight to a strong ground so my passengers could watch whilst driving

hmm ive already grounded the black wire coming out of the monitor which 1 you talking about?

theres a white and a green wire i think 1 of em is meant to be hooked up to handbrake. i grounded both and still same problem

For mine my yellow wire is my ground and my green wire is for my handbrake which i also ground,

Other than that im not sure why your having problems

all good managed to get it working

i was trying to ground the green wire coming out of the monitor when i should be grounding the green wire coming out of the dvd player/unit, not the monitor
