Weird Noise From Engine Bay.. Plz Help!

When my car is at idle there is a sort of loud whirring noise coming from the bay, any ideas on what this could be??

The pully squeels a bit too on cold start so i WD it and all good... so i dont think its a pully

i've noticed a bit of a whistling noise on idle? but never thought much of it. is this what your referring to?

mine doesnt sound like a belt?

could be your water pump going. thats what noise mine made before it went, and was leaking so water was gettin on belts making them squeal a bit.

most likely a bearing of some sort mate. sound like its external though, id be checking all your belts. Take them off and inspect, whilst they're off spin the alternator and even try the power steer pump etc..... if thats all good id be checking ya water pump and idler and pulley bearing.

When you engage/disengage the clutch (assuming its a manual) does the noise disapear?

Could be that your timing belt is too tight, I had this problem myself its worth checking.
