I still dont understand the fascination with stupendous amounts of camber and the oversized rubbers that hit the guards

somehow its cool to have your bowels forced into your lungs when u drive around with shithouse offsets and low profile rubbers

ffs we're in australia here, kiss your $2000 rubbers goodbye every 6 months with that much camber and the potholes

-D

you need to change tyre shops then

well i figure, why by shit rubber if u drive a decent car? Im running stock 16's and my toyo t1r's come in around $880 odd for the rubbers

when i factor in the price increase for 18" rubbers >if< i was gonna get 18's, and the rubbers are pretty decent like the goodyear eagle f1 assymetric, it comes out to damn near $2k sure u can shop around but still, you go up two inches in rim diameter and be paying like twice as much

i bought 18inch bridgestone potenza's 80% tread in top condition a number of times for $180 each. Very good tyres and they last ages from Used Tyre mart. I could afford to buy brand spankin new tyres but I dont see the point in spending $2000 for tyres that just wear out anyway.

nice and cheap if u got the connections but most of us peons have to go to a tyre place and have them balanced, fitted and aligned... not all of us are mechanics

who ever is paying 2k for 18" tyres that arent high end R compound tyres or something is getting raped.

ur getting raped too lol

but that comes complementary with every purchase at used tyre mart.

lol nissdik, I wondered how long it would be before the dribble started again......having said that, I don't mind a bit of sarcasm from mates .

I got Brand spanking new Bridgestone Potenza RE001 rubber for my line for....$209 fitted and balanced

235/45/R17's for $209 and no you dont need connections to get a bargain, and i rate the RE001 very very highly as to the amount of grip they offer on these Adelaide roads, very impressed with the tyre performance.....and I am no mechanic either

So $180 for 18's with 80% tread left sounds fairly decent price too ryan

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365.
