I've been rebushing my front suspension and now I have got to the inner and outer upper front control bars.

Ive managed to get the bushings out of the inner one( which was a bitch)

but the outer one looks a bit iffy!

It looks like I will have to take off the disc and calipers and take the whole outer bar out with the hub to work on it.

I am not sure how useful my ebay 6 ton press will be in getting the old bushings out.

I have got the super pro bushes and they are adjustable for the camber, I want to leave it in the same position as the old ones( which I assume is standard setting) so do I set the hole on the cam centres to the top or to the bottom?

I would be really grateful for some info.

Cheers

Peter

I use an air chisel to remove the outer standard bushes, the new polyurethane ones just push in with a tap from a plastic hammper.

It doesn't matter whether you have the eccentric up or down as far as the amount of static camber is concerned. But it changes the dynamic camber, eccentric down gives sligtly more dynamic camber change if the car is around standard ride height.

I read the install guide and it says to do it with an air chisel... decided to have a go myself without one and ended up getting the front out bushes out with a flat screwdriver and hammer (manual air chisel)... haha

Well there you go, I do it the same as the instructions.............hang on.............that's might be because I wrote the instructions :)
