Blocking Off Pcv Valve,

Im about to hook up a catch can to my RB25 and after searching have decided to block off my PCV Valve.

What is the best way to block it without doing away with the hose so the boys in blue cant tell?

Bit of a pain in the ass though to weld it. I was thinking more along the lines of some sort of bung, or even filling the hose with araldite may work?????

I had mine blocked up, it was done with an Alloy bung lathed to fit. It basically popped into the seal thats already there.

What it looked like before repainting the rocker covers, and putting back stock PCV. Same kinda bung in the hose that connected it too.

My advice, is leave it stock. Its onnly open at idle anyway so your not really getting any benefit from it.

I had problems with crank case pressure after a few months, and oil was blowing past the rings and i was getting alot of smoke.

Re-instating the PCV stopped the problem.

Thanks for the tip mate, I have heard of that before but didn't know of anyone that has actually had that problem. Maybe I'll just leave it alone then

you could just fill up the hose with silicone or jam a fat screw in the hose (just make it is bigger that the nipple on the manifold so it can't get sucked in) of just put the PVC into the closed position and drop in some superglue
