Tyre Question

As the title states. Tyres are fairly new (less then 6 months - minimal kays) It's definitely only one (left rear) and I've been checking regularly with a digital tyre pressure checker thingamajig. Slow leak <--- fixable? r am i up for a new tyre? Cheers.

Do the cheap things first, put a new valve in and throw away the current cap and put a new one on

the only way to find out is take the wheel off and submerge it in your pool, look for bubbles

Is it a puncture out of site?

Is the valve sealing?

Is the rim damaged?

soapy water, and patience, they are your friends with this issue.

No pool, not even a bathtub big enough to fit the tyre.

No rim damage, valve is sealing to my knowledge, i did the spit on finger - wipe test. No bubbles. Side walls look ok.

Tyre shop + $30. Half an hour and your most likely trouble free.

slow leak could be many things. Its alot harder to find than your average nail etc...

but is all the time your going to spend trying to find the leak, and i can almost guarantee you wont find it, worth the $15 it costs to have it repaired while you watch someone else do it all for ya in 10 minutes!
