Windscreen stone chip

Got a f$@#n stone chip on left side of my window whilst driving on M4. temporarily fixed it by putting a sticker on it. How much is this gonna cost me and where from? O'briens?

Go Windsceens O'brien, it only costs about $30 or so if it hasn't had any water in it.

Last time I priced a new windscreen from them, they quoted me $1000:eek:

well its a pindot on the outside but has the crack lines on the inside. i dont think they can fix that.

It sounds like a star. I scored one on a cruise to Singleton last year and they managed to fix it for me. They can get rid of the lines so there's only the pin dot left.

yes about a 2cm sun but nothing outside. will this becoming bigger? so o'brien's fixed urs for $30? wat do i say on the phone?

Yeah, I'd get it fixed sometime soon. In the middle of winter all it takes is a bucket of hot water on a frosty windscreen and the crack will take up half your view, it happened in my last car.

Give them a call, describe it to them and get a quote

I just checked my invoice, it cost $49.50

Got it done today $67. Must have went up. Probably less visible by 50%. and gave me lifetime guarantee it wont crack. plus quoted me $300 for a new windscreen in case i need one.

I assume they heat up the glass or some sort to bond it back

together so I assume it will stuff up tints?

i wasnt present at the time but told me he put some resin and im assuming he buffed what he could.
