Mine don't either, found a couple plugs unplugged but made no difference. There is a switch in the car, so I'll have to find where the fuse goes or if there is anything else disconnected, plus I can't even tell if there are globes in there!

I got an r33 and my fog light dont work either. found the fuse but its alright. is this an auto elec job or is there anything i can check or do that could fix it?

its the stalk. tell me who did the car and I can tell you how to fix the issue. if you have the I & II switch on the lower dash then it needs to be set to two for the lower set to work.

weird, shogun did my car too, but i cant get them working again either! even removed the back off the switch and plugged it back in. checked fuses, put globes back in. tried the I and II switch. nothing. too weird lol

As Chris offered, go and see him, or at least look for where power might be available and when?

If there is none, you need to see if you can supply some... but I am sure if they are factory fitted, you need to set the switches correctly or there is a problem with it. Chris said the Stalk...

Isn't there wiring looms in the manuals from the G35 that will help?

As for not sure if there are globes installed, they will make a difference to whether they work or not!! :D

My pick if this is all too difficult is go and see Chris or at least chat to him.

This is a little off-topic, but I am a little confused by the number of headlights on my V35.

There are the normal headlights, which you turn on as per usual with any car, and of course there is the high beams, but there is a third selection which is a knob to the left of the headlight switch (towards the steering wheel), which if you turn it forwards towards the dash, causes another set of lights to come on. It gives extra light and is not as white/bright as with just the normal headlamps on.

I don't think they are fog lights, what are they and why are they there considering there is already a standard headlight switch and standard headlamps?

was reading US g35 service manual, according to that what y saying is the front Fog light....i was confused they don't talk about the separate fog lights as in my car :D

yes they are the fog lights that ALL V35 and M35s come with that are located in the main headlight unit. i think its the other filament of an H4 globe that the highbeam uses...

maclaren, you have driving lights (like myself) in the front bumper hence the I/II switch next to the height adjustment to select between the 'factory' fogs and the lower 'driving' lights.

Can't have high beem with HID so you need extra lights to go "high beem"

If you turn on your high beem, the lower set comes on at high beem aswell.

Right?

and yeah you can have them on at the same time without having high beem on. And a set of fog lights then you got 6 lights on crazy plus the parkers thats 8 WOW!

Edited by V35_Paul

you CAN have them on at the same time?

do you mean both sets of fog lights and your headlights? because im pretty sure that switch controls a relay next to the airbox that switches between the 2 sets of foglights....

but if you mean, LO, HI and fog, then yes you can have them all on.

Chris once I have time to suss out my config I'll PM you the details, from what I can see the balast units are both there and the cabling was disconnected, plugging them in does nothing after I press the switch in my car (located under the boot release), could be fuse or missing globes, will let you know.

hi guys any luck with how to fix this issue? got my new V35 and my bumper fog lights dont work either

checked the lights and they seem intact, the balast for them is there and cables seem connected, i had a look at the stalk as per this link http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/post-a105580- but the plug is intact and connected

the fog fuse on the 3rd fusebox behind the battery is ok

when i flick the fog light switch the dash lights turn on as normal but no fog lights turn on either upper fogs or bumper fogs any idea where to look next
