Sorry Andrew -1 on this....will be able to lend you my current standard in a couple of weeks though if you still need it.

Hey mate,

Not a problem, would we be able to make up something similar to the image above off the standard shape/size?? otherwise i'll probably just use my car to make it up.

I just purchased the one as per your image.

I'll get some photos of current work, he does lots of high end fabrication tho, you look in just about every high performance mag and you will find their work :D

i was thinkin of getting something done similar to the dolphin job? but i'm open to the best suggestion!! is the stock dump the same size as the dolphin job??

Flange looks tricky to source but i will pop into a shop tomorrow to see if they can get it. otherwise i will get a gasket and we will lazer cut a flange from it.

any coatings can be done also. prob best to get em ceramic coated or the like.

Dolphin dump is a different design again (much straighter)

If you are designing one, try to get it is straight as possible.

Yes the OE dump as a small cat on it. Are you able to get a cat to fit on a 3 or 2.75" dump and fit it in that space?

If so, I would be very interested as I need a cat-fitted dump pipe on mine.

Ok i have the flange, will have to get some more made this isnt the neatest.

i'll be needing a stock dump, or something soon so if anyone has that would be great. otherwise my cars off the road and dump will get pulled out..

we're open to designs on which would be best option for all. i'd rather have it like the first design, and a cat under the car in between dump and front pipe.

3inch i guess everyone is after?

If anyone is interested in a split dump pipe.

liverpool exhaust have a mild steel ceramic coated one made up.. soon to be on the market.

i'm not going to make up a split dump tho since the exhaust housing isnt split too well and i simply dont like the idea anymore. would rather have a complete 3inch all the way.

Cat after dump is not good for me personally.

I have the de-cat Kakimoto 80mm front pipe that bolts straight up to the OE dump (and to my Legalis exhaust) so I guess I will be sticking with the OE dump.

Ok, will see what the majority wants really. but it may not be a problem to modify what you want done. will obviously cost more since there is a Pussy involved..

Understandable.

Let me know if there are any options for a cat to be added to the dump. If not, no stress.

Gotta have at least one cat as I don't want all that carbon sh!t on my rear bumper.

Pussy and cars dont mix :D

if the dump we make is long enough to house a cat i dont see a problem.. just clearance may be an issue, and it will be welded on permanent i'd say/

will try get stuck into this this arvo when i finish work

yeah i dont like cats at all, like trying to breathe thru a pillow :D

i'll either be pulling mine apart tonite to get the standard dump off to make a jig out of or borrowing one. the standard dump will be fine..

so chances i may not even need to borrow it..

thanks anyhoo :)

    • UPDATE: Hi all!  As we are getting towards the end of this thread where I’ll showcase final dyno numbers and graph, I wanted to provide an update. Tao from HyperGear has done an amazing job building the custom divided T3 housing for the G30. Communication was flawless, price was great, and now the housing is estimated to arrive in 7-10 days! Very very pleased. I must add, if someone is looking for an affordable turbo and end up reading this thread, I would recommend HyperGear. Genuine brands are the way to go as their proven reliability, predictable performance, and there’s a plethora of information available for specs, flow, and more. This HyperGear recommendation is based on their excellent communication, dedication, and willingness to listen to their customers. I particularly liked their ability to create custom adaptations tailored to specific needs, which is a HUGE benefit over other brands. And if we consider the HyperGear provided dyno results, it adds reassurance knowing their turbos can compete against genuine brands. Next update will be after the dyno!
    • I've previously seen people post up "dress up bolt kits" for RBs but don't remember seeing them specify the full contents. I can only really suggest you grab the verniers and start measuring, and keep in mind the cam cover and timing cover bolts are both quite specific with a wider unthreaded section where the bushes sit, that will make it hard to get aftermarket replacements which tend to be all thread (set screws) or for longer bolts a flat section with a shorter threaded section at the end
    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
