Newbie Needs Help

hey everyone.

new to doing up cars. i have a 1999 nissan stagea rs4s and would like to do this up. i just dont know where to start. i have so far done the intercooler, exhaust & filter this is it.

i was thinking a new engine management system (computer) and a computerised boost control. but i want something thats easy to use something that basically has three or so pretuned settings to suit my driving and mrs etc.

Also need a mechanic or someone that can work on my car in newcastle area.

What is the car going to be used for...

% of daily, drag and track...

you would have trouble finding an ecu that will have three maps, as most only have two.. that is plenty but... 1 for daily and one for the track..

when your girlfriend is driving just educate her, when you floor it, it goes on boost, and it goes fast. pretty simple

you are spot on with what to do next

programmable management , electronic boost controll and a good tune are definatley the way to go.

next step is a larger turbo, and upgrading your fuel system (pump, injectors etc.) and it spirals downward from there haha

start looking at the rb25 dyno thread to get an idea for what you need to do to achieve your goals

hardest part at your stage is deciding which kind of management to go with and this descision should be dictated by who is tuning the car and what they are most comfortable/experienced with.

so id be choosing my tuner, and then choosing which management system to go with
