Just picked up a pair of Crossfire BMF 1228 12" subs and a Crossfire VR1000D Monoblock amp to run them. Current stereo is Alpine X-Type competition splits in the front doors and DDLinear's in the parcel shelf running off a (few years old now) MRV-F540 4 channel, Midrange and treble is excellent, will i be pleased with these subs?

Ive heard good things about Crossfire and part of the reason i went about getting them is i dont know anyone who runs their gear. Anyone have experience with their stuff?

Cheers,

Chris.

sorry i dont have any info on the crossfire brand but i would have thought that this might have been a question to ask before purchasing, in case they turn out to be crap?

That said, if you do a quick google of the product number/name, you should pull up a few reviews on them

will i be pleased with these subs?

I doubt anyone can answer that! It depends on you, how you like your music/bass, the install etc. The most important part of installing any given subwoofer is to ensure you have a box of the right design and size to suit both the sub and how you like your bass to sound.

Crossfire used to be a good reputable brand, I'm not sure on the models, but your gear list sounds like a great package. As said previously, install will determine how good it will sound. Plenty of more in depth info around the webs if you need it.

Yea all fair comments, guess ill find out. If they sound shit at least they look good heh! the SQ now is good but i guess im starting to lean towards the spl side of things, either way when i have the opportunity (without looking like a moron) i like to listen to everything very loud.

Ive looked around on google but there isnt much info on this stuff, few pretty shit reviews ie: "theyre good" etc..who knows wat ive got myself into heh..
