Super Autobacs, Crystal....and The Like.

Recommended Posts

I've been to the Super Autobacs in Yokohama, but now I'm wondering where are the other 'fun to look in' autoparts stores....

Websites, address's and Google maps of Super Autobacs, Crystal and others are always welcome... :bunny::)

I went to the one in Tokyo-Bay, Koto-ku. Right near Shinonome subway station.

It was massive! It's good to go there if you know what you want and have heaps of $$$$

And i'm not sure about this Nakameguro one, but if you check it out on Google maps @ street level, there is a Super Autobacs of some description.

I can post up more if i can find more, or anyone can post up even links to the stores then i can find them on Google maps and do the above to make things easy. :P

I went to the Tokyo bay one today. Very easy to get too. :D

Again, it's here,

Once in Tokyo, find the Yamanote line, it's very easy train to find and runs around the whole city, then get off at the Osaki station. Then catch the Rinkai line to Shinonome station.

Once at the Shinome station, you can't miss it!

IMO Autobacs was a bit of a let down. Its just like a massive autobarn.

Crystal is where the best gear is.

Agree!

Autobacs is exactly like Autobarn because they mostly sell at RRP. There were some items that were cheap, but that was because it was on sale.

Up-garage is more of a hit & miss. Unless you know how to properly navigate the website and can speak japanese, you wont know which stores stock what parts because 95% of the store is 2nd hand parts.

Crystal is great and well worth the 10-15minutes walk from the train station (upside down monorail).. When I was there in June, I ended up spending over $3000 in parts for my Evo X  The majority of parts there are sold ex-tax and at least 10% below RRP. Be warned, there is only one guy that that speaks English :(

Crystal is the place to go for sure, ended up with a new set of rays and a set or volks and $9K aus later they bought us lunch at macca's down the road ha ha ha, Its pritty easy to get to , get to chiba, take the monorail thing to " sports stadium " you exit , goto the right ( there is a park on your right ) walk till you see a foot bridge , cross over it and continue walking same way but now your over the other side of the road, and in about 15 min you will see it .
