I have 1 length of Titeflex Insulation Wrap. It's about 3600mm long relaxed. This is the stuff used on aircraft tubes for insulation and the quality is second none !

It has 2 stepped graduations so you can vary the thickness when applied. I've wrapped it around the tube of silastic to give you an idea of how it fits.

Condition: New & Unused

length?

how does it stay in place?? does it need to be wire locked?

Sould cover a fair bit of stuff depending on how you use it ( single or double overlay ).

Best way to hold it in place is with those stainless steel straps that hold exhaust wrap on

but you can also use ~41 thou lockwire or cable ties.

:P I can't believe this is still for sale !

This is top shelf stuff and can only be purchased through GE Aircaft Engines in the USA ( AFAIK ) and you don't wanna know what it costs to buy a minimum amount + shipping !! :P

Since I got a couple of confused ( ? ) PM's I'll try to take some more pics to show how this suff can be used.

Yeah, just insulates what ever you wrap to keep heat in or out. It's just that you can vary the thickness of insulation depending on how you wrap it.

At the end of the day, it's no miracle product but it's very handy for certain jobs and very hard to come by.

Single wrap for medium insulation and tighter areas.

and Double wrap for heavy insulation and more open areas.

You would of course secure one end and pull the wrap tighter as you go along so it's ot as lose as in these pics.

Also, I would not recommend using it on an exhaust or anything that gets that hot.
