The back end of my r32 gts4 feels like its drunk, basically if I were to go over a bump at 60k's or so the back end feels like its snaking. Another way to describe it, if I were to have my HICAS un-presurised and have the internal shaft sitting loose inside there so it moves around when I drive thats what It feels like. I've recently bought one of these HICAS LOCK SHIM KITS, where I basically put a washer on either end of the solenoid so it stops moving left and right. Thought that would fix the issue but it still feels like crap, I get it at higher speeds aswell, out of fear for my safety I usually slow down..

Any Idea's? I run it in 2WD most times, but I dont think its related to that.. Maybe dodgy bushes?? but I just had my warrant of fitness renewed (sorry if aussie's dont call it that but NZ does) and they passed them fine.

I assume the shim kit has locked the HICAS completely, I was going to install a proper lock bar but after getting stuffed around by the seller I decided against it.

arghh help. Cant goto a track day with it like this.

Did you align it after fiting the kit? The toe changes massively.

Cheers

Gary

no I havent yet, I have it booked in for Monday for wheel alignment. Just didnt think alignment was going to make it drive this way. But you raise a valid point, I definitely overlooked it.

could also be the inner or outer rack ends for the rear steer, or the rear ball joints at the hub. Just because you lock hicas doesn't exclude movement/wear in the other parts. But I'll agree with Gary, alignment is most likely the problem
